Difference between these Asus Models

Hi Sifus,

Need your help because I am trying to understand what is the difference between these 3 monitors other than the stand. The specs seems to be identical and the price seems to be very similar on Shopee. Is there a variation in the panel used..?

1. ASUS VZ24EHE
2. ASUS VY249HE
3. ASUS VZ249HEG1R

On a side note, seeking any advice or recommendations on a 24 inch IPS 75Hz monitor with VESA Mounting under RM550, mainly used for work-related.

Thanks in advance!

Giving a Second Chance to an Old Pair

Hello guys~! Just want to share my experience on re-cabling the Philips SHE9850.
[attachmentid=9379829]

A bit of back story, long story short, my sister borrowed these and lost them for 5 years and recently found them in her phone pouch that she doesn't use.
However, the cable insulation ended up becoming brittle and flakey, resulting in parts of the cable being exposed.
[attachmentid=9379847]

I had no prior experience in re-cabling IEMs and have only modded full-size headphones before but decided to give re-cabling a shot since it was an old gift from my father.
While cutting off the cables from the earpiece I found out why the cables were so microphonic. The ground wires were wrapped around the signal cable under the cable insulation.
[attachmentid=9379875][attachmentid=9379876]

I then had to remove the rubber jacket on the earpiece and separated the ground wire from the signal cable.
[attachmentid=9379921]

After that, I had to shorten and tin the wires. Stripping the signal cable was really nerve-wrecking cause It was a really thin cable and if I mess up I would be left with no wires to work with. I then measure the rubber jacket length and noticed I had to saw off some of the plastic bits and shorten the wires so the wires wouldn't be exposed, repeating the process but with less leeway.
[attachmentid=9380087][attachmentid=9380095]

All I had left to do was solder the wires with the ones I had gotten and cover the exposed parts with shrink tube and put the rubber jacket back on.... and repeat the whole process again for the other side.
[attachmentid=9380103][attachmentid=9380104]

I then finished up the other side and thought everything went well... until the rubber jacket decided to split on me. I guess the shrink tubes were a bit too thick for the old rubber jacket to handle.
[attachmentid=9380105]

I had to carefully strip off the shrink tube, desolder and repeat the whole process again as I needed to replace or cover up the rubber jacket. I almost gave up midway. I ended up using coloured shrink tubes to wrap the rubber jacket and was pretty happy with the results.
[attachmentid=9380106]

Gave it a listen again after all these years but it was really underwhelming in almost every aspect when compared to my TFZ Series 2 which is half the price of it. But this just goes to show how far technology has advanced over the past years.
