What is the best ADSL modem + router in the market

Hi all. I'm trying to figure out and buy an ADSL modem plus router for my parent's house but not sure which is the best. Currently I'm using Linksys WAG200G (if i'm not mistaken) for my house and the wireless connectivity never let me down. Asked one nearby shop they said this model is not in the market anymore due to it is getting obsolete. I'm not sure how true is that because I've never have the chance to check in the store itself. Just phone queries. They said new model is Linksys WAG..G2. Can't really recall the exact model. I browsed in the internet got many negative comments about this model. Any Linksys model which is good other than WAG..G2? What other brands that are good? Need some suggestion. Thanks all.

My friend recently received an offer letter from EDS (M) Sdn Bhd. Fyi, this is not the EDS which located in Cyberjaya. This is the company which located in PJ an SI company.
