Previous Experiences to Future Job

Good Day Everyone !

Was thinking whether we really carry our previous job experiences into future job.

What if is totally different line like me?

I worked as a payment collection for my first job then moved to sales and now I am marketer. (from banking line to IT software)

But for me, I think experiences in work is more benefit to our life than our career. For eg, I know how the bank collect payments, waiver, t & c to apply loan and etc which is useful for me in future if i wanted to apply any CC or loan or avoid charges. (maybe different people different perception)

If you are in FMCG company and swift to IT or finance, did your previous experience still useful? (not to talk about professional such as doctor, engineer or lawyer)

What if you already jump for multiple jobs, do you still remember your first job experience?

Just curious -
