Hey forumers,

My family recently bought a slow juicer by Primada. From a quick internet search it seems the brand is just a cover brand name (noway we can verify origin?).

Anyway after using a while, we have problem removing the blender for cleaning. The whole juicer compartment is not removable! We had a few hard time removing it already, but it seems to stuck more and more often. I wouldn't judge anything yet, but I would like to know if any fellow LYN having smae problem, or insight as in how to open it?

M2U "system refresh" means cannot use debit card?

I tried to do online payment with my debit card but failed. This time coincide with the so called "system refresh" period for M2U. Is this related?

I have to say MBB's online system kinda shit if it's true.

Is blogging still profitable?

Alright. Anyone reading this would agree that blogging have been very profitable. We see several home grown blogger that quit thier dayjob just to blog. Internet are filled with successful bloggers, some actively motivate others to go into blogger (eg steve pavlina).

But here's the thing. It's 2013, things had changed! There are tons of new blogs. The incredible low entry level make competition so high. Do you still think blogging is still a profitable thing to do (in general)?

Any sifu here can help? basically i have a few website online, and it is in dedicated server hosting (darn expensive!) I was wondering if I should move them to amazon cloud for a cheaper alternative. basically my questions are:

1. is it cheaper to get amazon s3/ec2? I plan to run low traffic site there first.

system: p4 1.8mhz, 256mb ddr1 200mhz (plan to OC sometime)

1. can I run ubuntu on it? (i see recommended 512mb, but I guess I need suggestion for lighter desktop).
2. should I use a pendrive (16gb, slow type) or a hdd 500gb (double platter?)

i know it's an old system, but i would like to learn up some linux.. Virtualizing is pretty painful..

Earning money fixing computer

Guys,
any of you working as a freelancer to fix computer? I do have some 'computer fixing skill', which I learned while I work in Lowyat. Now I don't really have a permanent job yet, and I was wondering if I can do some freelance computer fixing.

Any sifu out here care to point out how you all get a customer base etc? (I know this might be trade secret, so share if you don't mind.. )

spray painting a car yourself

Hmm.. new car owner checking in here.

I've just bought a very-very old car (17 yr old). Engine working fantastically, with about rm500 fixing the whole car is ready to move already. But i notice some little rusts on the side of doors & edges (the body is perfect still. previous owner always polish car.) The car is white, still in original manufacturer paint.

I was pretty reluctant to pay someone for a full spray paint (~rm2k.....). So any suggestions from sifu(s) here on how to spray paint yourself?

1) any suggestion what paint type?
2) paint in hot afternoon?
3) comment etc...

(yes I'm a cheapo. But a carburetor engine is very cool.. XP)

Hello programmers!

I'm a physics student actually but recently I've been interested in programming. It seems C and Python really interest me. (I had most knowledge in scientific computing, eg monte carlo). I was wondering if it is possible for me to use my programming skill for work. If you all would know, physics student doesnt' really have a job (well some became an engineer, some as general staff, some as programmer). Well, I have about 6 more months to graduate. Would like to brush up my programming skill enough for some job, or at least part time/late night job.

What you guys think about my situation? What part of programming I should learn? I am more interested in database than webdev. Any other fields that you guys can suggest?
