So hot these few days, sweating so much while working from home.

Come suggest me places to volunteer

Used to volunteer at PAWS before lockdowns on weekends last time as I enjoy being with animals, now they have moved and don't know when they will officially reopen.

Now I feel like I'm ready to head out and do some good again. Googled few animal centres but seems none open for volunteers due to pandemic (correct me if I am wrong).

I'm based at KL. Gip suggestions pls.

Traffic police issued investigation letter

Hello sifus need advice. Suddenly out of the blue got a letter from traffic police department stating to be present at police station on investigation for an accident. Letter was dated back in June but just arrived in my mailbox.

I checked the date, timing and location of supposed reported accident. I was working from home during that time (even took a selfie in my room near that time) and plus I never once drove at that reported location lol.

I called the balai polis and was directed to the officer. The officer asked whether there was an accident, I said no I was at home and he asked me to come in person for investigation.

Is this a scam or something? Don't know if I am overthinking. First time kena like this.

Dental Braces Appointment MCO

Anyone went for dental appointment during MCO passing roadblocks?

My dentist set appointment for me this week and sent a whatsapp message as confirmation. I always have monthly appointments to clean and re-tighten my braces. If I miss it braces will get increasingly uncomfortable.

Now already pass 1 month after last appointment. Usually appointment will take about 15 to 20 mins only. Can I pass the roadblock by showing the WhatsApp message?

I have a car. Should I drive myself or take Grab?

All advice appreciated. Tq. 🙂

Scoot Airlines or Oman Air for Greece?

Hi fellow members, need advice from all frequent flyers here!

I'm planning to go to Athens, Greece with a one way ticket sometime in March, already surveyed for weeks for the cheapest flights in Skyscanner.

I narrowed down my choices to two - between Singapore Airlines/Scoot and Oman Air. Abit confused about Scoot/Singapore Airlines because it interchangeably says operated by Scoot/Silk Air/Singapore Airlines when I click into it. I know Scoot is joined with Singapore Airlines but I'm not sure why the operators change as per booking - reference to below pictures.

I read alot of horror stories about Scoot. Oman air also has horror stories but considerably less.

Scoot is cheaper and has less transit time (close to 5.5hrs at SG) compared to Oman air (transit time is for 14hrs at Muscat). I don't mind the transit time to be honest - I can find something to do for 14 hours.

However I read stories of how Scoot often changes schedule last minute and charges exorbitant fees for baggages. Oman Air has its cons as well - like lost baggage and poor check in experiences by some travellers. On surface, the two budget airlines seem equally bad lol, but Oman Air seems to be slightly better.

My questions are:

1. Is Scoot as bad as it is or should I just stick to Oman Air?

2. What do they mean when it shows Singapore Airlines symbol on booking but displayed as operated by Scoot/Silk Air? Are they all different?

3. If I were to transit at Muscat - do I need visa? I hold a Malaysian passport - the connecting airline is still Oman Air but different plane.

Can I leave my internship halfway?

I have recently accepted a HR internship offer for 3 months because I tried applying for a full time position before and thought I have failed the screening process. Since full time HR officers' vacancies experience is required, I thought why not I just gain the skills instead of waiting around cos I'm a fresh grad with only part time gig experiences with not even one internship experience.

However, recently I got an email saying I passed the process and I got one more stage that I have to pass before I get a full time offer in 1.5 months. Since it is still just a possibility, so I don't want to reject my internship offer (I got this after kena reject 4 times).

Is it okay that I leave my internship halfway in 1.5 months if I get the full time job? I told them before that money is a factor and their internship only rm600 but the full time job more than 2k.

I'm signing the internship offer letter this week and was wondering whether I can just leave after giving notice? Kind of scared to ask them about notice period now cos they might take back the offer thinking I am potentially running away.

I just finished my SPM. Got an offer from The Star Education Fund on full scholarship for Foundation leading to Degree in Psychology. This is my dream.

But, I have financial issues. The scholarship is a wonderful help. Only covers for tuition fees. Accomodation and living expense are all on my own. No prob with that for me. Only a little trouble on paying for the MQA subjects. I have two choices here.

1. Accept the offer by The Star, struggle a little to pay the fees for my foundation but during my degree years, I dont have to pay much. Secure my future entirely until I graduate.

2. Drop the offer and go for STPM. Not wanting to burden my parents. Although it is a risk since I am scared I wont get enough CGPA to continue my degree course. Besides, its hard and Im planning to take the Science stream one as I dislike the Arts.

Which one?

I'm going HELP for the May 2 intake. I am taking foundation in science. Anybody with me?

I'm having trouble as the management told me the hostel is full. And its expensive as well. I live in Jalan Tun Razak. No personal vehicle.

Planning to take LRT from Titiwangsa Station -> Masjid Jamek -> Bangsar [ Putra line ] -> Take Rapid and reach HELP.

It is troublesome but I really cherish this opportunity to go HELP. Any suggestions of rental house nearby? Anybody willing to take me in please?

Im looking for a rental not more than RM450. Thanks for all the help! Pm me if you guys have interest in offering me a place.

American Degree Programme at Segi?

How about Inti and Help? Is PTPTN available for the ADP course there?

I am okay in my finance for accomodation and etc fees. Just the tuition fees I am worrying about.

I just finished my SPM last year. I am very determined to do psychology. Foundation is a no for me because I have financial issues. I am fully dependent on loan so I decided to go for a diploma. Only SEGI apparently has diploma in psychology.

I heard bad reviews so I am not really sure. Besides, people say it depends on ourselves and not the quality of the college. But again, the first college is said to be very important after you leave SPM. Comments?
