Services for PDA

Not sure where this should go, so...

Want switch from simple hp to PDA, planning to get HTC touch 3G, but need advice regarding phone services.

First option:
Phone package(until end of february):
RM1100 for HTC touch3G with RM460 worth of accessories(didn't specify the exact items)
12 month commitment for Maxis Value 150 and RM99 Data Plan

Second option:
Buy pda set separately (RM1900 i think, prolly wait till march/april to buy)
Use Hotlink prepaid
Use RM99 Data plan

Third option:
Buy pda set separately
Use Maxis Value 50

I don't call or sms much, one month normally use RM15(under Hotlink prepaid, no active 5 no.s, also under-utilized coz phone got problems)
Will use PDA for internet surfing(Gizmodo kind of sites) and as modem for laptop, organiser, put study notes/dictionaries, some reading materials, and GPS

First option, pda set cheap, but commitment plan might not be worth it coz i don't make a lot of calls, use also maybe max RM50 for calls. Is it 'safe' to unlock the phone for another SIM card? might want to switch users to fully utilise the pda

(2nd option) Would like to know whether Unlimited data plan worth it anot and what kind of connection speed, how about loading youtube and the like?

(3rd option) Use Maxis Value 50 to cover websurfing since my calls/sms very few, will add (1, maybe 2)supplementary lines to leech credit too

On GPS,
Usage:
- within klang valley
- sabah
- maybe, just maybe UK

If free maps(malfreemaps), I just dl maps to the pda and start using right?

But if buy garmin mobile xt, do they provide map around the world? I mean if pay money surely everything ready for you right? What's the exact price for mobile xt? RM400?

Pendrive with u3 installed within

recently i gt this pendrive frm sandisk, i think its called u3 cruizer micro which has this u3 function in it.
problem with it now is tat whenever i plug it into my comp, the launchU3.exe(which is needed to access all ur files within) appears bt with errors, then the icon totally vanishes frm the pendrive's folder

any solutions? thx
