[WTA] Car Accident - police report made

Hi, wanna ask if this is possible.

Accidentally kissed the car in front, just some minor scratches and front car's bumper dislocated a bit. Police report made by both sides.

But after checking in more detail, found that nothing really damaged on my car, just the number plate broken a bit.

So was thinking, since to repair the dislocated bumper of the car in front should be lower than my NCD, is it possible that I ask the owner not to claim the insurance and I pay for the repair instead? Or by virtue of the police report, insurance for sure will kick in?
