Accounting pathway - Need advise

I have a degree in Business Management.
Total working experience is 4 years (First 2 years in cs/marketing, another 2 years in account).
I'm planning to have my future in account. I do not have account basic. SPM was science stream.
The degree I did doesn't have account subject - only 1 financial subjects.
Current work is based on experience and on-the-job learning. I'm planning to take the 6 months bookkeeping course and get that cert. Hope to get advise from sifu here whether am I making the right decision or any better suggestions. Thanks.
