Hi all I have a Parnis GMT watch for sale. Probably the best value Rolex GMT homage out there in the market. It's a beautiful eye catching watch for sure (as you can see from the pics). Comes with the original bracelet only.

Asking price: SOLD

Some specs:

Case width: 40mm
Case thickness: 13mm
Lug width: 20mm
Glass: Sapphire
Bezel: Ceramic
Case material: 316 stainless steel

As you can see it has a GMT function as well as a date. Condition is very good. Not worn often. Very very slight nick at the bezel at the number 4. Glass is free from scratches. Very fine hairline scratches on the body front and sides (barely noticeable). Hairline scratches on the caseback and bracelet.

Contact me at: 012-3606297

Anyone?
I've been to a few hypermarkets and tried different scales and they always give different results...
Eg: 3-4 different scales gives 3-4 different readings. And they differ by almost 2kg... (weighed at the same time)

Does anyone know where can I get a reliable and accurate scale?

For the ladies: Do you find muscular men hot?

As mentioned.
I posted the same topic but for the men earlier so now I'm curious about the preference for ladies.
In my own experience, most of the girls I've asked have said that they don't really like really muscular guys. Eg: Bodybuilders
Some don't even like guys who look 'toned'.
Some girls even prefer chubby though almost none liked thin.

So what are your preferences?

For example I would give these pics:

How long do you rest between sets and exercises?

Ok, was curious about this among the forumers here.
I usually rest about 1 minute + 10 seconds between sets but I'm noticing that it's definitely getting harder and harder as my weights increase.
So I'm thinking of increasing it to maybe 1.5 minutes.
Been reading all sorts of articles and I go for 'how my body feels'.

What about you guys?

The next thing would be rest time between exercises.
I do not split my workdays to upper/lower or arms/back/legs etc.
I usually do stuff like squats, toe raises, maybe hamstring stuff and then some upper body stuff on the same day.
I've never seriously tracked how much time i take between exercises but I am usually in the gym for about an hour or an hour ++ a little.

Eg: 1 hour to complete this:

Squats
85kg
5 x 5

105kg 5 x 1

Toe raises
105kg
15 x 1

Overhead Barbell Press
25kg
10 x 2
8 x 1

Front Wide Pulldowns
7 plates
10 x 3

Overhead press dumbbells
10kg each
10 x 1

Bench press
50kg
5 x 3

Front barbell curls
25kg
5 x 3

Chinup 7 x 1
Plank 60 secs
Reverse Crunches 12 x 1

And it was pretty 'intense' for me as in I felt flat after that.
Should I take longer rests between exercises?

After lurking here for a long long time I guess I feel the need to actually record what I've been doing.
I use to follow the Stronglift 5X5 about 2 years ago for a couple of months due to wanting to have visible abs at least once in my life.
Then due to sheer laziness and also some work issues I've gotten pretty lazy.
Been playing and still playing badminton approximately 1-2 times a week for 2 hrs per session for the past year and the half.
Trying to start playing basketball again (stopped due to recurring ankle injuries).
Just starting to hit the gym again since about 2 months ago but still not regularly and again due to sheer laziness and also because I have my viva to concentrate on. Not following any particular programme. Trying to split my workouts to alternate upper body and lower body and a rest day (or cardio) in between.

Some stats:
22/2/2012
Height: 170 cm
Weight: ~63 kg

Progress Pic 1 (13/3/2012)

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

oops, underwear...lol

1st ever back pic (5/4/2012)

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

19/2/2012
Basketball for about 2 hrs

20/2/2012
for fun late night quick exercise at home

pushups
30 X 1
15 X 1
10 X 1

2 handed standing bicep curls (10kg, I have only 1 dumbbell...)
45 X 1
35 X 1
30 X 1

2 handed tricep extension (10kg)
12 X 1
10 X 1
10 X 1

Plank
45 seconds

Various other nonsense exercise to keep my heart rate up

21/2/2012
Bad workout day as they were a million people in the gym and I had limited time.
Dumbbells had to replace barbell.
And also wanted to try a few new exercises so didn't push myself.

Squats:
Tried 120kg X 1 but didn't manage to hit proper form
110kg X 1 with proper form.
95kg 5X5

Step ups with 12.5kg dumbbells in each hand
10 X 1 each leg

Lunges with 12.5kg dumbbells in each hand
10 X 1
8 X 1
8 X 1

Good morning with 12.5 kg dumbbells in each hand
10 X 1
8 X 1
8 X 1

Hamstring curls (machine)
15 X 1
10 X 1
8 X 1

Seated leg raise?
Question about 1RM for squats

Just a quick 'for fun' question. I can squat about 95kg 5 X 5 and I'm about 63kgs.
Does anyone have any idea what my 1RM would be (or at least within the range of?)?
It'll be a few days before I go to the gym and am just curious if there are any rough calculations for this?
Or if not, what is your personal PR for 1RM and current Rep X Set weight for squats?

Just a random question that popped in my head.

Was wondering what do you guys think about women who are into hardcore bodybuilding?
Personally, I've been to a few gyms but never really seen a women who's really ripped.
But personally I think I would be a little intimidated. Also, personally I prefer women who are slim or just slightly athletic (slightly defined abs are awesome to me).

Not sure if this thread violates any rules here haha but just a thought...

Hi guys,

I've been doing situps/crunches regularly (past 1-2 months) and I always have this problem where my back starts to ache really badly till I can't do more than 10 sit ups. And that happens even before my abs even feel anything (as in stress, pain etc).

It's a like an extreme pain/burning? sensation at the lower back. This isn't limited to sit ups only, any workout that targets the ab area. Eg: Leg lifts etc.
So I actually can't do any exercises that involves working out my abs.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks a million.

Note: Started my 'losing fat' programme since like a month and a half ago. Have lost about 2-2.5 kilos (which is good because I'm not overweight, just wanting to trim down and go muscular). Am still within the ideal weight range for my height. I'm now ~62.5 kilos and am 171cm in height. Am looking way better than a month ago. Gonna start building muscles soon (ideally i want to lose about another kilo first). Am aiming for a well toned instead of buff body. So will be monitoring this thread often. Great reads here.

Just a note on what I've done. so do correct me if I'm doing anything wrong.

1. Have a regular Milo + Oats breakfast. Sometimes Low Fat Milk + nuts/raisins.
2. Regular lunch - No fried stuff, lots of veges, tofu, less rice, as much meat (mostly boiled chicken), fruits.
3. Very light dinner. Oats, milo again. Sometimes have a regular dinner which is something like lunch.
4. When I get slight hunger pangs i normally go for a small cup of low fat yogurt.
5. Cardio almnost every day. Minimum 4 times a week. About 4-5km nonstop runs. Basketball after the runs (about 2-3 times a week).
6. Simple weight exercises, sit ups, pushups, squats, bicep curls. Only really push it like 2x a week. Other days just a few reps.

Thanks again for any forthcoming advices.
