Connecting PS3 to LED monitor

Any kind soul out there that can teach me how to connect my Samsung S27A550H LED Monitor with a PS3 via HDMI. I've tried countless time but nothing appears on my screen. I've tried to HOLD the on/off button on PS3 for 15seconds, test if the HDMI is working, check the power supplier and etc. But all to end in failure.

Can somebody teach me how to hook it up pluweeeeeeeeeee. Even if i have to use the VGA connection, i don't really mind anymore. I feel the dissatisfaction when i cannot complete the task at hand. Please also advise on how do i get sound out.

im looking for a breed of dog that i saw in Taiwan which is kinda popular there besides huskies ,its called Corgi i was wondering has anybody seen it around KL or own one of them ? or a place i can get 1 ? thanks
