Creating a Forum

Hello fellow forumers, I am thinking of creating a forum, and would really be grateful if you all could give me some advice.

I am thinking of making it something like our lowyat forum, but on a specific hobby.
Want to make it as professional as possible, I am willing to spend my time for it.
If its possible, I would like to earn from adsense by putting up some ads.

Here are some of the questions on my mind :

1. Is it better if I pay for the domain and server, where I can use phpBB ? ( currently thinking of hostgator )

2. Is just a free forum hosting enough ? (Such as proboards.com and forumotion.com )
If so, is it possible to earn from adsense ?

I really hope someone can advice me and I would really appreciate it.

America after SPM

Hello everyone, I am now in form 5 and would like to study in America.

But the problem is, the Malaysian education system (From British system) is very confusing @.@

After 3 years of middle school, only 2 years of high school (5 years of secondary school and total 11 years of schooling) there is about 1 year of insufficient study time since American system is 6 years of high school ( total 12 years of education)

If I want to go to UK, I can take CAL but if I want to go to the States what shall I do after my SPM ?

I know I need to take SAT, TOEFL but not sure on what college or pre-U course to take..

Foundation ? Or I can just take CAL ? ( I do not want to take STPM...)

And if possible not the ADTP as I want to choose the University I want to go and I do not mind if I dont come back to Malaysia.

I really appreciate if anyone could help me.
