Signed my LO last week and yesterday signed SPA and Legal Dox. Its my first time buying property, and I intend to stay there for at least 3 to 5 years before buying another one. Anyone else stay at Velo here or in Maluri?

Any tips or recommendation on house rennovation, furnishing and appliances? I'm having a bit of a headache on this now. Now sure where and what to buy ...

First time home buyer

Hi

I'm 38 y.o., single not married, never own a property before (save for a piece of land, and a 3 storey commercial lot under my name, given by my dad). I have been living in my parents apartment in Serdang for over 10 years alone most of the time (they only come to KL once or twice a year so I take care of the place here).

I'm looking for an apartment as close as possible to an MRT - either Kajang or Putrajaya line as I work near TRX. My price range is between RM400k to RM800k. Looking for studio or at most 2 bedroom apartment. I'm looking for a place where I can stay on my own.

So far I'm keen on Setia Sky Residence, EkoCheras, Sunway Velocity 3, and Bamboo Hills. My particular favorite, is Setia Sky Residence as the entrance to MRT is just outside the apartment. Also seems like near KLCC Park so I can wake up early take the train to go for a run there. I have two cars, but I'm starting to like using the MRT as I can walk more.

I am humbly seeking opinions/views on Setia Sky Residence, as well as if any sifus here got any advice on what to look out for/any other alternatives to Setia Sky Residence.

Any thoughts/opinions is much appreciated.

Last nightings, ayam miting the Japun ladies for first taimu.

She needed to leaving early yesterday because she meeted her friend at Hallaway @ 10pm.
Ayam asking the her, that ayam can keep the whiskey bottle, and we can the meetings again today.

So today, we are the agreeingded to meet at 1pm first. Then ayam bringing her to the walkings.
After the walkings, we will going to the bars. She is the friendly in the conversation between us.
Ayam wanna seek /k advice;

Option 1: Drinking the half bottle + order 1 moar bottle, get drunk then convince her bang bang. She going the Vietnam tomorrow, hence, ayam should try beng beng the raw sushi. I must the revenge for what Japan did to the Malaysia in WW2.

Option 2 : Being the Malaysian gentleman. Drink only half the bottle, dont orderings the new bottle. Make sure she is sobered, send her back to hotel safely. No beng beng since itu bukan budaya kita. Also, she told me kelik she meetings last night, want to meet Mareshian boi too. So if i beng2 her, maybe she no intro me her kelik.

Option 3: Diamlah.

1.00pm : using Grab to go KLCC to meet her.
2.39pm : eating at some Arab place at BB
3.34pm : slowly bring her to talk about hamsup things. Shes cool.
4.24pm : drink coffee at changkat. She wants to bring another Jap friend.
5.59pm : at Bar in Bangsar. Sangria jug + 1 bottle whiskey.
9.31pm : grab to her hotel at Hilton Garden Inn.
9.46pm : ????????????

I think its a no brainer that the country' handling of Covid and this so called "lockdown" is in shambles. In my opinion, it could be caused by any of the following;

1. Tan Sri Noor Hisham, Director General of Health - I think the public still has a mixed views of him. His agenda clearly is supportive of a full-scale lockdown, as it is his duty to ensure that the outbreak does not spiral out of control. There were stories of him lobbying the Prime Minister as early as May, proposing for a full scale lockdown, but his calls went unheeded. Only until recently it seems the Prime Minister took his advice - but should he have been more assertive in his early efforts in May so that the outbreak would not have reached the level we see right now?

2. Dato' Seri Azmin Ali, Senior Minister of Economy - In some circles he is Public Enemy Number 1 and for others, their only hope. He has a daunting task of ensuring that the lockdown does not kill manufacturing industries and businesses in general. With a large number of industry associations criticizing for his handling of CIMS application and lockdown, at the same time lobbying him to allow their business to continue operating during lockdown, he's in a serious pinch. This could have been his opportunity to shine but, could any other MP have handled this better if they were in his position?

3. Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri, Senior Minister of Security - Been giving a lot of press conference recently - without anything constructive. His agenda is clear - lock the whole country down as we did in March 2020. What I find ironic is, his criticism of Azmin Ali does not absolve him of his responsibility for better coordination with NSC and PDRM. His argument with Azmin during the most recent Cabinet meeting seems more towards deflecting his incompetence so that the lights turn on Azmin rather than him. Should he back off and focus more on his plate rather than pinpointing others?

4. Tan Sri Muhyddin - And of course, "Abah" kita. Hisham, Azmin and Ismail all have valid points however we all know who wears the pants around here. Is he being too indecisive about where to focus, what to prioritize and who should I listen to the most? I am very concerned if my Prime Minister decides to make a major decision of locking down the country by announcing it through a PDF file. Would this solidify the view that he does not care much about the country rather, is more focused on retaining his Premiership?

5. The Rakyat (#rakyatsampah) - lest we forget. In all of fairness, the government did provide several stimulus packages and handouts. Whether its sufficient or otherwise is another matter all together. When they were strict, we chastised them. When they were loose, again, we were up in arms. Striking a middle ground seems to upset both. There is no way possible way for the government to lean towards one side without upsetting the other - or is there?

I would like to seek the collective guidance of /k, and its infinite wisdom in deciding who it thinks is the root cause of the shitstorm our nation is in.

Wireless keyboard wont work properly

Hi

I bought a Rapoo E2700 Wireless Keyboard ... everytime i plug it in, Windows detects it however, it wont work properly. Only the "F" buttons at the top (volume control etc) would work, the touchpad and letter keys wont work ... tried googling for general solutions but doesnt seem like any other options work.

My computer also has this weird problem where, if i plug in my wireless logistech mouse dongle into other ports, it wont work. Only works in one of the ports that I normally put it in. Any thoughts?

Anyone alone at home during MCO?

Just curious. So my schedule the whole MCO period was basically :

1st week - A lot of reading
2nd week - A lot of cooking
3rd week - A lot of gaming
4th week - A lot of Netflixing
5th week - A lot of cleaning
6th week - A mixture of all the above.

Seriously running out of things/activities to do.

Summary of response on what you can do during MCO from forumers:

- workout
- instrument to play
- play omegle or random webcam
- fix stuff around your house
- re-decorate your room/any space
- zoom raiding
- learn new skill (e.g. coding)

Hi,

Im planning on opening up a Serviced Office business (funds gathered through multiple sources) - at a building near Mont Kiara. The total space im planning to rent is RM 28,000 for 6,400 square feet (roughly). Around 2,000 square feet will be leased to a company from China, so I'm thinking of forming a JV with them and turning the rest of the space into serviced office. Based on my rough calculations, the average room size will be 130 sq ft, with rental being anywhere from RM 700 to RM 1000. Im also reserving est. space of 500 square feet for general facilities/meeting rooms. At RM 700, that would translate to RM 5.3 per sq ft. Im comparing the rates at Publika, with theyre charging RM 4,000 for 700 sq ft (RM 5.7 per sq ft).

Anyone in this business can share some insights/experience on this business?

I have a Korean friend who does business with major Palm Oil companies in Malaysia (company belongs to her father). Their businesses itself is based in Korea. As of the moment they have accounts in Malaysia & Singapore but due to new regulations between the two countries and Korea, they're looking to open a bank account in HK instead. I think the reason is implied
