Details of the complaint :

Hi forumers need some advise from u guys.

Recently I bought an used laptop from a forumer,
but the condition of the unit did not match with what he tell in his thread.

The seller claimed that the unit is in fully working condition without any defection,
but when i got it and tested in another day,
I found that the battery was dead.

Although the unit is still cover by warranty but not the battery,
because the battery is damaged by crushed or dropped due to there is a small dent at the edge,
and the service center will not responsible for such case,
at the meanwhile I've been told a new battery will cost me around RM300+ (OEM) to RM500+ (Original).

So I get back to the seller but he refused to compensate anything.
I offered some solution to solve the issue but keep rejected.

I'm telling him if I add-on the new battery cost with the laptop,
it will cost even more where I can spend the money on him for a new laptop.

to be honest to you, im not aware of the battery dent part, as mentioned to you previously, i have kept it in my laptop for quite some times and i did not use it for long time.

Nobody want a defection unit with a fully working unit price.
If I being informed the battery was dead I will reconsider to deal with him.

IMO it is his responsible in this case.
Just wonder what do u guys think of it.
Am i a victim? It's my fault to blame him? Or I'm just another unlucky guy being cheated?
No offense or hard feeling to the seller,
just want to know how to deal with this kind of fraud for the purposes of prevention on next transaction.

Update:
The seller only bear RM50 for the battery.
New one even OEM cost RM300+ and I don't think it's sufficient but better than nothing.
*It just like if I sell a car to him with a faulty engine I can just refund merely RM500 for the reparation.*
Doesn't make sense at all.

Unable to access Internet after running Bitcomet

hey fellows,
i got a problem here,
hope u guys can gimme a hand.

these problems happened after i format my computer.
all programs work fine before the computer was formatted.

i can't access to internet after a minute running my bitcomet (ver. 0.99).
but the downloaded task is still running like normal.
in the meantime, i can't open all of my programs (eg itunes)
(the computer was idle when i open the program, but nothing shown up)
and the problem solved after i restart my computer.
(but the problem repeated after i run bitcomet, frustrating..)

when i start bitcomet, a notification shown that my tcp/ip limit is too low,
i tried to change it to 50 or 100, the result was i can't even connect to the line after that (dead line).
the modem is work fine, and i use hurricane 9200 series adsl/adsl2+ ethernet modem/router.
the setting of the bitcomet cannot be change in this situation (can't save the setting).
it can't work even i reset the modem's setting, or restart my computer,
finally i have to format/restore my computer to the previous setting (omg.. hate it).

next, i thought is the upload rate problem,
so i change it to 10 kb/s but it didn't help, the problem still exist.
the problem can't be solve by uninstall and reinstall bitcomet.

after i keep rebooting my computer (make me mad..)
i decided to try another bittorent client, which is utorrent,
surprisingly it works fine,
but i still prefer bitcomet because the download speed is more more faster than utorrent.

perhaps someone can find out what is going on.
appreciate for those who willing to help me to solve the problem.
