Hi everyone,

My contractor doing extension said no need to put BRC wire mesh for the floor of my extension.
He said is just for car porch.
Is it true?
What will happen if no wire mesh?

Any recommendation for outdoor water filtration system?
I heard sand/stone based filtration system will clog the pipes and not many brands are offering membrane filter system.
Need advice.

standard downlight vs LED downlight

Dear All,

Happy Chinese New Year for those who are celebrating and Happy Holiday to others!!!
I started to renovate my house.
The contractor suggested me to install LED downlight but I heard that they will burn easily and is difficult to replace.
Replacement might damage plaster ceiling.
He also suggest me to upgrade to 3 phase electric.
My house is double storey terrace house (intermediate) 20x70.
Appliances that require electric:
1. Autogate
2. 2 fridges
3. Kitchen Hood
4. washing machine
5. water pump
6. 3 air-cond
7. 32 downlights
8. 8 fans
9. 30 sockets
10. 3 water heater

Do I need to upgrade to 3 phase?

Cost: Hidden wiring vs visible wiring

Hi everyone,

want to know the difference in terms of cost for wiring: Hidden and visible.
I read some written:
socket will cost ard RM 70-100
switch: RM40-50
Air-Cond: RM150-200
Water heater: ??

For the hidden wiring, does it include the repainting?
For switches, any cost difference between 1 gang vs 4 gang switches? Will it be cheaper to use 4 gang switches?

Single Phase wiring amp

Hi Everyone,

Want to ask the DB at my house. As shown in the pic below does mean that my house is only powered with 32 amp?
I thought all single phase wiring comes with 63 amp?
If want to change from 32 amp to 63 amp will it cost a lot of money?

GDI engine suitable with petrol in Malaysia?

Hi there,

Just curious about the GDI engine in Malaysia such as those available for Mazda CX-5 and Ford Focus.
Any problem from owners about these engine after fueling with RON 95?
Or GDI engine must use RON97.
I read from some auto website saying that Malaysian fuel is of lower grade and might not suitable for GDI engine.
Need some comments from experts as I am planning to change car.
