Need advice on Career choice

I need advice for my case.
I am a scholar for one of the OnG company. My scholarship only pays a certain max value and I am free to choose any course I want to pursue. And there is no bond.
I took my A-levels under this scholarship got straight A's and informed my sponsor that I want to continue my undergraduate studies in Economics.

They advised me to take a technical course due to my results and so on. But due to the limited amount that they sponsor, they recommend that I go to Curtin Uni in Miri (or UTP but their intake is next year).
Personally, my plan was to do Economics but it seems that job prospects are not so good. So I chose to change to accounting.

I have a few options,
a) I can study engineering at Taylors Uni (or any private institution) but will have to pay up abit to bridge the gap not sponsored
b) go to Curtin
c) take up accounting.
What say you?

The thing is I am a girl and I live in KL. I must admit I am alittle aprehensive to go to Miri. I have never been there.
How are the job prospects like for girls and generally for Curtin graduates in the OnG sector and other fields of engineering?

Does which university you graduate from really matter in your employment, of course assuming both have gain equal academic achivement?

The OnG sector is mainly dominated by guys so I am afraid it might hinder my career. Or cant gain employment...
Do you think it is wise for me to switch careers from accounting to engineering?

Hello, I just finished my A-Levels. I am interested to study engineering. I am a 4A's student, so I am looking for the best place to study. Where can I study?

a) University of Nottingham
- Expensive fees.
- Have to stay out
- UK degree, thus good quality

b) Monash University
- Expensive fees
- Australian degree, thus good quality

c) Taylor's University
- Expensive fees.
- Not recognized by BEM

d) UCSI university
- Reasonable fees.

e) UNITEN, UTP, MMU and UTAR
- cheap fees

Actually I was thinking of studying at Taylor's, but then it is not regconised by BEM. So where do I study now? Nottingham and Monash is alittle too expensive for me. Do you think it is worth it spending some extra money to study at Monash, maybe?

Or, should I just go for those cheaper uni and save the money for something else?

Does it really matter which institution you graduate from? Will it affect employment upon graduation?

Anyone studying at any of this institutions, can share hows it like studying there, the facilities, lecturers and studies?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to study Chemical Engineering.
Is recognition from international bodies like IChemE and Engineering Council UK necessary?

I just finished my Alevels. Planning to do UOL BSC Economics at HELP and then ACCA self study.
So, is that a yay or nay? Should I go for it? Or am I overly ambitious?

Heard that both courses are extremely difficult. But I am ready for the study. So, any tips or suggestions.
Has anyone did this before. Share experience.
