Anyone still playing Mabinogi?

Just wondering coz I can't find a single player who DOESN'T have a 14 hours time diff :| Also wish to make friend haha I wished I discovered Mabinogi earlier coz all of the current players are so overpowered since this game is 10++ old? Kinda discouraging playing as a newbie.

Removing and inserting laptop battery frequently

I just got a new laptop and having experienced damaging my old laptop's battery before, I want to take proper care of my laptop battery this time. The battery of my old laptop is not the same anymore ever since the laptop shut down during gaming as I did not plugged in the charger.

So I dont dare to game with battery inserted anymore. Since I won't be taking the laptop anywhere atm, can I remove the battery and use the laptop plugged in during gaming at all times for a few weeks? Or do I need to use the battery sometimes too? And if I have to, will removing the battery and then reinserting it many many times do damage to the battery? There are so many contradicting infos on internet that I don't know which to follow.

Spilled milo on laptop..is it fixable?

I spilled milo on the left keyboard on my laptop..I was watching a video and as it happens the sound from the video is gone. Panic as I am I stupidly lift the laptop a bit to clean under the laptop. Then suddenly milo spill from the right side (apparently I unconsciously tilt the laptop). Then the laptop screen turn completely white. I turn it off by pressing the power button till it turn off and close the charger. While these happens, the laptop did not have a battery.

Now here's the stupidest part...shortly after I turn off the charger, I turn it back in and tried to turn on the laptop. The power symbol and one other keyboard I couldnt remember which, has a glow. The place to plug in the charger also glows. Then I plugged in the battery and repeatedly tried to power on the laptop with and without the battery. Now there's no.glow whatsoever, it's completely dead. I dont remember how many times I tried to turn on the laptop. After going on internet, I know I shouldnt turn on the power...

I left my laptop upside down. It now smells like milo..did I just fry my laptop or is it still fixable? The most important thing, can I recover all my data in local disk c?

Dell Inspiron 7447 vs Lenovo Y40

Sorry for the long post. Hope you guys can read all I made a post before asking for laptop recommendation and shortlisted to these two laptops. I don't understand laptop specification at all so it's hard for me to decide which one is better. Feel free to suggest another laptop that has the same price range as these two laptops.

Are there anyone out there who has use these laptop? I'm looking for information specifically on
1. Battery life when not used for gaming
2. Whether it has overheating problem during normal use (including using video/graphic editing software)
3. Wifi connection (cause I found some laptop is known to have issues with wifi). This is very important as I can't do any work without internet in college.
4. Performance during gaming (easily overheats or not etc)

I'm leaning towards 7447 because
Pros
- When I compare the two graphic card online (NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 850M vs AMD Radeon R9 M275) it seems GTX850M is better.
- I read that Lenovo Y40 has screen problem, so when watching movies, it will be uncomfortable.

but

Cons
- There's barely any review on this laptop and I have heard that Inspiron is not reliable compare to Latitude.
- Lenovo Y40 is better looking than Inspiron 7447.

Additional question: I think the reason that my current laptop has no battery life (only last 1-5 minutes) is because I once played Sims 3/Football Manager without plugging in, and it died shortly after starting the game. So in order to preserve my battery life, I should take out the battery before playing?

Budget laptop recommendations?

I am thinking of getting a new laptop as my current one has battery life problem and is quite laggy and always heating up. As I know next to nothing about laptop specs, I'm asking for your recommendations.

My budget is under RM2500. I use laptop for mostly gaming, downloading, watching movies, and using softwares. Basically I'm a heavy laptop user.

- Good gaming performance (at least can run at low setting in new games)
- Can run most software smoothly (like photoshop, illustrator, sony vegas etc..)
- Good battery life
- 14 inch or below
- Does not easily heats up during normal uses
- Fast performance like able to transfer files quickly and is not laggy
- Easy to connect to wifi/internet (coz some laptop I know always have problem connecting to wifi)

The bold requirements are a must, especially the second one because the most annoying thing about my current laptop is that it heats up so easily even if I don't even use it. Is it possible to get a laptop with the above specifications with that kind of budget?

Nintendo 3DS SD card?

I stupidly did not research how much space Bravely Default will use so I bought eShop fund only to realize I need to delete all application in my N3DS but for one game. So now I need to buy a new SD card.

Can I use SONY Memory Stick Pro-HG Duo for my 3DS? It's the only one I have right now taken from a camcorder. The said memory card looks like in the attachment. My 3DS is currently downloading Bravely Default now so I cannot test it yet.

If this card cannot be used, what type of SD card should I be looking? And how much for 16GB and 32GB?

What is AUDIT course?

There are 4 choices of status when I want to register the course for the upcoming semester 3, they are kursus wajib, kursus elektif, AUDIT, and di luar kokurikulum. and it said that I have to register at least 12 credits, not taking account of AUDIT course. So this audit status attracts my attention, because I really want to learn foreign language but it is not included in my course, so I'm afraid if I take it, it will affect my pointer.

One of my friends said audit course means, it will not be counted in your CGPA. It just means you are just interested to learn that course. Is that true? Because when I register the course as audit, it is still counted in my credit total.

And what is di luar kokurikulum course??

Taking Korean Language I

I'm a first year student, currently in semester 1, just entered uni this month. I planned to take korean language in uni because I heard in uni you need to take foreign language. However, in my study scheme they gave me, my course no need to take foreign language.

So I was wondering whether I should take korean language 1? Because if I do take it, it will put a burden on me because this means I will take extra elective course, means taking more credit (currently I already took 17 credits, max credit is 18), and my cgpa will be dragged down if I cannot keep up. Or should I try to get 4.0 cgpa in semester 1 and take korean language 1 in semester 2? Although my subjects in semester 2 are a lot harder than sem 1's..

Are there anyone in this forum that take this course? I do have some basics in korean because I self learn a bit a few years back. I need to know what kind of questions they ask you. In this language, is the final exam TOPIK? Or just a normal exam? If possible where can I find the course outline? I cannot find the course outline in my university website..

Wut the heck is wrong w/ these security detectors?

The first time it happened after I bought a photobook with a cd in it at Speedy. When I bring the plastic bag containing the cd in it into shops with the security detectors in it, IT BEEEPPPSSS!!! At first I thought it's something else. So I ignored it. Then when I went to the supermarket inside it, during paying, my bags is so heavy so I kinda stumbled and my plastic bag touch/went near the metal detector there. THEN THE SECURITY GUARD CAME TO ME. I don't think it's a local security guard, he doesn't seem to understand what I'm saying, then another security guard (local) came to rescue and after checking my bag he let me off. Since I'm all alone at that time, I'm scared out of my mind. I have a phobia of walking pass the detector since then.

And now recently...I went to Watson with my mom (thankfully I'm not alone this time), and my mom bought a sunscreen lotion (I think) AND THE FREAKING DETECTOR BEEPS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! TWICE! I carried the lotion to the cashier by walking near the detector (not paid yet) and it beeps. Ok that I can understand. But even after my mom paid, it beep when I walked pass it! What in the world is wrong with these things??!!!! I'm really security-detector-phobic now

1) It said credit card number. Can I use debit card instead?
2) If I can use debit card, and then paid, can I really get FULL refund if I cancel before the deadline?

Cheapest DSLR?

I just got my sem1 result..and it's terrible..even if I get 4flat in sem2 the highest I can get is 3.5 and below....are there any course and uni possible for this result? I heard it's hard to get into uni if you get below 3.5..

Questions about Hotel and KLIA

I think some of you already know that GDA, a korean award, will be held here in Malaysia. Since I don't want to buy the ticket as the venue suck and it's a standing ticket I'm thinking to spend that money instead on hotel, to stay in the same hotel as my favorite kpop idol. The problem is usually the hotel info is revealed a few days before they're coming here (usually a day before) or worst after they check in only.

Question 1 - Can I check in directly into the hotel without making a reservation first? Obviously the hotel they will stay is a high class hotel so I guess you have to make a reservation first? Is there anyone who work in a hotel or has any people you know work there? Tip me off maybe?

Question 2 - How do people manage to get in the VIP lane in KLIA? I have seen fancams from inside the waiting hall before, you know, before they went out to meet all the fans waiting. How did these people manage to get in..

Should I drop out of asasi?

I am a girl and currently taking life science in pasum...Before going to pasum I was quite convinced that I will get Mara so I thought going to pasum will be temporary. I even plan to take diploma in my state if I did not get the scholarship. In the end I didnt get it so I want to drop out (during orientation week) but my mom forced me to stay as she refused me taking diploma. Few months later I learnt that I did get Mara but it was too late, the registration day had passed. It was a mistake on their part so as a consolation they offer me something else I don't want so I didnt take the offer.

I am really struggling to cope...mainly because I don't have any friends. I am shy and making friends is not easy for me. The tutorials...most students copied their friends' or doing it together but I'm doing everything by myself so I can't answer the tutorials. I don't understand the lectures. Same goes for the lab report. As a result I became stress and kinda give up in the first semester because I tried answering the questions, can't understand any of it even by searching books and internet. In the end..I just lose my motivation and didnt do it. I don't think like I learn anything here. My result sucks now I am in fear of getting kick out. Idk when the result for semester 1 final will come out but if it's as bad as I expected I really feel like dropping out..but 100% my parents wont let me..Now in semester 2 I have more motivation to do better but as expected my motivation disappear again because of the frustration of unable to understand anything. I feel like my brain has stop functioning...Then there's this program called "Malam Emas" you have to have 10 people to book a table but since I don't have any friends Idk who to sit with..this makes me really depressed..I have been crying randomly while staying here..I feel like everyone don't like me..I don't click with anyone here at all..7 months here feels like a waste of time..
