[WTA] Car Accident Advice

How the entire accident happen has been explained on the report above. Basically, the summary is the whole accident happened a couple days back. Proton Wira's driver(Indonesian), Gunawan bin Musa(Not even sure if this was his real name) was the one at fault here. I understand the fact that I'd be equally at fault here, if I had done a sudden emergency brake but I didn't. I even took a look at my rear-view mirror when I stopped, we're stuck on a little traffic jam. He was clearly very far off behind me when I stopped, he was probably distracted and drove super slow(I'd assume). Within only a few seconds, he probably noticed the big distance we have between us, proceeded to just speed up and couldn't brake/stop the car in time.

When the police/sergeant helped me to check the car's ownership, it seems to belong to a local Malay guy(I'd assume after reading the owner's name). The info shows that the car's insurance is expiring soon, 28th of January, 2017. Gunawan didn't even lodge a report within 24 hours. Here are the questions I wanna ask.

1.) Would they(Gunawan's side of people, whoever owns the car/those at fault here) be able to delay things and whatnot until the insurance expires so that my insurance company wouldn't be able to claim their insurance?
2.) What else should I have done other than all the usual and basic stuff(like taking pictures immediately, exchanging contact numbers, lodging a police report and etc.), did I miss anything else?
3.) What else can I do now as well to better protect myself(like to make sure I'd be able to claim my loss and etc.)?

Can't Get Access to my Hard Drive

Weeks ago, my Windows corrupted. That was what I assumed. The OS itself was installed on my 1TB Green Western Digital hard drive. The first solution I could come up with immediately was to buy a new hard drive/SSD, reinstall the OS on it, and get my PC booted up again. With this way, my WD hard drive will be the secondary storage. Sounds good, right? I went ahead and bought a new Kingston 240GB SSD yesterday in Lowyat. Did what I stated above. The PC did boot up, but I just can't get access to the hard drive no matter how. Refer to the screenshot below.

The OS itself was in Automatic Repair restart loop, that was the problem which happened initially. Like what I did, install a new SSD and OS. The PC booted up, everything works fine. Now the problem left is, I just can't get access into the hard drive. I have my precious photos and all in it, don't mind the games and some other random junks. It's urgent, any feedback or help is very much appreciated. Thank you!

Earphones/Earbuds Suggestion

I have done a search before this, I can't seem to find any thread like this for people to ask for earphones/earbuds suggestion. So, I created one here. Maybe I didn't do my search thorough enough, so please link me to it if there's any. Here we go, my current earphone is just a normal one. It came with my phone when I bought it, SONY Xperia Z1. Its model name is MH750. I didn't have the chance to mess with much earphones, especially the high quality expensive ones. So you may say I'm just one of those average consumer/earphones user/listener. By the way, I have got to say this. For a cheap earphones like this MH750, it seriously sounds pretty good. The isolation is also really good. I have only been using it since February, but it recently just decided to go faulty on me. The volume of the left earphone just went super low, I don't know why. It may be my mistake hitting it against something accidentally. I've try some other pair of earphones on my phone and they totally work just fine, it seems like the problem is with my MH750. If there's any way to fix it, please teach me. If otherwise, I guess you people may just suggest me some great alternatives for this. Any help will be pretty much appreciated, thank you! I actually find Razer Hammerhead to be quite appealing, but for the price, not so much.

Macbook Air for ICT/S.Engineering Diploma Course

I will be taking ICT/Software Engineering course next month in my future university. I've not tried any Mac before, literally none. I have no exposure to even iOS or whatever versions/generations Apple's products. All I did before was to just swipe left and right on an iPad and iPhone home screen, that's all. I was planning to buy myself a laptop/notebook with Windows installed in it, of course. Because that's the only interface/system I am used to and familiar with. I think most programmers might be using Windows more than a Mac right? My cousin has a Macbook Air, she told me to not buy a new laptop/notebook because she's going to give me one. I don't know what version or generation that particular model is. Might be an old one, maybe a Late 2010, Mid 2011, Mid 2012 or Mid 2013. I don't know. I just want to ask all of you for opinions. Is Mac really good for ICT/Software Engineering? If it really is, then I might really just go with it and not buy another Windows laptop anymore. Or maybe just install Windows on that Macbook Air after I got it. Are the specs of that Macbook Air and Mac OS good/suitable for programming?

Edit: She just told me that she bought it last month at Pavillion. So, I think it might be a pretty recent model.

What I Should Be Doing

I've paid my registration fees to this university(not naming any names), a while back. Which means I will be joining their May intake later this year, of course. The problem is, I'm still feeling all relax and fine. I don't really know if I should feel that way. First of all, here's a little intro about me. I am not good with studies especially in things I am not interested in. I will be doing a software engineering related course. That's the only subject I like, I like PC/tech/software related stuff. I am not good at doing calculation, I don't have an Add Maths background also. I didn't do well in Modern Maths either in school before this. Here's a related thread I made previously you can refer to. You can even check out my SPM trials result there. Fortunately, I got 3A's for my SPM. So folks, what do you think I should be doing right now as the time is getting shorter and shorter? I will be in my future university in no time. I know you will most probably say, you should be preparing. But, prepare what? Maybe I should be doing exercises to improve my Maths, that's the only thing I know that I should be doing. But, other than that... What else can I do? Any advice or suggestions from you guys will be deeply appreciated, thank you. Lastly, about my 1119 English test result. I got a 4B, is that a pass and what does it mean? By the way, here's a copy of my SPM result.

Office Desktop PC

This new office PC will mainly be focused on doing some AutoCAD designing work, typical official business use, managing data and all. As for managing data, I will of course be using Microsoft Access. Maybe I will also use it for managing my website sometimes. I don't know if I should go with a pre-built system or a custom built. My budget will be around RM3000+ something or lower. I'm thinking of using this PC for at least 4.5 years or more. Any feedback and help would be very much appreciated, thank you!

Building Business Website/Networking

I am a high school graduated kid. My favourite subject is ICT, and it is also one of the subject I took for SPM. With that said, I have a lot of passion in tech & PC stuff but not networking. Don't get me wrong, I love everything related to PC including networking, it is just(for networking) not that much. It is pretty obvious that, I don't know much about website/networking. The story goes like this. Recently, my aunt is planning to start her own business. She resigned from her current job because of certain reasons. She's gonna start everything from scratch, but she knows nothing about networking/building a site and so forth. I actually do have a cousin living in Singapore, who's better at networking than me. He knows how to do everything, like getting a server, building a site, designing it and so on. But, he's in Singapore. So for now, it is very obvious that I'm the closest one right now, who can at least help my aunt a little bit. So, here's what I know. Through my daily experience of being on the internet, I've found Squarespace. It seems to be like a trusted and less complicated choice. According to my aunt, she found this company/provider(I'm not quite sure) which offers services like this for around RM2000+. It costs way more than the rates provided by Squarespace, I don't know why. I've also tried asking help from my ICT teacher, he told me he was using this server provided by Joomla at TaiPing for supporting the website of our school and it costs about RM150-RM170+ a month(or a year, not quite sure). From here, I guess you can see the knowledge I have is not enough to be on par with you guys.

She's also planning to use Microsft Access for managing her data in the future, she hopes that I can help her out on that part. During my time back in school where I used to learn about ICT stuff, the syllabus are all too general. The only thing I know is how the networking topology works. This is why I feel so useless that I can't help out much and yet, I've been emphasizing the part where I once learned about ICT stuff off and on. I would be truly grateful if there's any professional out here who can help out, like explaining what I need to know and do especially on these Networking/website/Microsoft Access stuff. Lastly, sorry about the bad English though. I'm trying to give as many details as I can to all of you.

Typical SPM Graduated Student

I am just a typical high school graduated kid. I will be completely straight forward here. I am not one of those top students who get straight A's all the time. I will attach a picture of my SPM trials result and move into that a little deeper in a bit. As you can see, I'm not a top scorer. I have no interest in most of the time for studying all of them. EXCEPT, for a few which are my favorite ones. First of all is ICT(Information & Comunication Technology), English and Mandarin. I actually do have a little bit of passion for Mandarin, but not as much as I do with ICT & English. And... By little bit, I mean almost none. Nevermind that. With the result attached below, I don't think I can really do something in the future. In the picture below, it says that I scored B for my ICT during the trials. That is only the third time I've scored a B for ICT since my very first test in Form 4. As for all the other 5 to 6 times of the test, I scored A for all of them. With that said... I don't think most of you will even give a damn about that. Enough for the stupid long intro. For now, my aim is to strive for my favourite course in college(which means there is no way I'll be heading to Form 6) which is something related to IT stuff. After a little talk with some of my experienced relatives, they're suggesting that I should go for major in IT stuff and minor in business ideas course. I'm a geek who is really into tech and PC stuff. I love both the software & hardware stuff. But about, business ideas not that much. They're suggesting me to go for that as my minor subject is because that might assist me in doing something big in the future, I supposed. So what are your opinions? With my result like this... Am I going to even get chance for entering a good college and get the course I want? What will my future even be like? I know this whole thing might even extremely long, too melodramatic, and unnecessary(it already is), and I even doubt if any of you will settle down and read through the whole thing. But this is everything that is going through my head now. I haven't even started to plan for anything for my further studies because I have no idea at all where should I start with. But, I know at least I have a target course to aim at... In the end, I want to thank everyone who settled down and read this thoroughly. Any help will be very very much appreciated. Google Chrome: YouTube Playback Issue[Solved]

I don't know how to explain more in details with words here, so I recorded a footage of exactly what I'm facing with. As all of you can see, around 0:30 in the footage below. When I switched the video to Full HD 1080p resolution, it reloads the video as always. But it just stops right there all of a sudden, without continue loading for like forever. Later then, in the video... I jumped over to Mozilla Firefox to see if it's having the same problem or not. Well, it didn't. I've been facing this issue since I updated my Adobe Flash Player this morning. I've tried to re-install both Google Chrome and Adobe Flash Player. Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

I recently just got my hands on the Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst(PC Version). Since the holiday is coming, and I planning to play it with my cousins and friends of course. I don't have a budget range in my mind right now for the controllers I'm looking for. Also, I have no idea on where to get one or how to look for a decent pair of XBOX 360 controllers for my PC. I'm currently also trying to get a new mechanical gaming keyboard and SSD, so I'm kinda running low on budget here. Any help will be very appreciated, thank you!

Windows 8.1 not Available in Store

After I downloaded the Windows 8.1 Preview update, it prompted me to restart my computer. By default, it should prompt me to the Store to get the download for Windows 8.1 Preview. What happened to me was a little bit of tragedy. I did get the dialog box to prompt me into the Store but, at the time... My internet connection was lost, so my computer couldn't load me into the Store. So, I went back into the desktop to reconnect my internet. After I did that, I went for the Store immediately but the page to download Windows 8.1 Preview was not there. Instead, the Store showed me the usual page to download all of the other apps. I went back to the Windows 8.1 Preview page to redownload and reinstall the update. During the process of reinstallation, it showed me another dialog box telling me that the update was already installed in my computer. So, any help will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Windows Update Error

I don't think I'm the only one who is having the same problem right here. Since April, my computer(Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit genuine) has encountered a very troublesome error. My Windows is telling me that it is having troubles to update the system. So, I have been searching on the internet for solutions. According to the guides right here, Microsoft has released a faulty update(KB2823324) that makes most of the Windows users globally to have their Windows fail to restart and much more and I am one of the victims. Unlike most of the other victims affected, they are unable to restart their computer or something about their Kapersky antivirus program went wrong after the stupid faulty update(KB2823324). What happened to me is different, my Windows is unable to install the upcoming updates after I received and installed the faulty update(KB2823324). After that, I've tried a million times to uninstall the faulty update(KB2823324) from Windows Update according to the solution stated in here. Whenever I uninstall it and my computer have to restart, whenever it restarts the Windows will show me "Windows has failed to configure updates. Reverting changes..." at the welcome screen. For months, I'm unable to get any new updates from Microsoft and my Windows right here on the other side... It cannot get rid of the faulty update(KB2823324). So, I would be glad if anyone here can help me. Thank you!

I'm using a DELL S2340L monitor. Connecting it with a HDMI cable to the graphic card which is a SAPPHIRE HD7870 Ghz Edition. Been using this PC for months(nearly for 6 months or more already) with 2 small old speakers at both of the sides of monitor. Until recently(about last month) this problem starting to occurs. I'm having wavy lines moving at the left side of the screen. I can't determine whether is it moving up or down, it's just moving. It's quite annoying and the lines are extremely obvious when the screen is displaying white hackgrounds like webpage or what so ever, but it is not visible when I'm playing games. Have been looking around about this problem on the internet and it seems to be quite common to happen. So, I followed some of the guides given to reset the refresh lower. I reset it from 60 Hertz(default) to 50 Hertz, and the wavy lines gone but if I reset to 59 Hertz, the problem will still persist... So, any professionals here willing to help? Your help will be very much appreciated, thank you!

Asus, Dell or Samsung?

So, we will all be heading to Lowyat tomorrow to buy him one. But I have no idea of which brand or model should I choose for him. Any suggestion from you guys? I am thinking of Asus, Dell or Samsung...

Removable Disk/Rundll32.exe Error

I've been facing this problem for a few days already. I've replaced the rundll32.exe file with the one in my Windows 7 Home Premium installation disc. I did that according to the steps/tutorial from the internet. I've also done a full system virus scan with Avast Pro Antivirus. I've deleted all of the files which are infected. This very same problem also happened on my laptop(Windows XP). The pictures below will tell you more on what exactly is happening to my computer.

First, (and of course)I'll insert my USB flash drive into my PC USB slot.

Then, I'll give it a double click to open it up. By default, it should be displaying my stuff(like my projects/documents etc.)... Instead of that, it is showing me a shortcut to my USB flash drive.

Finally, this is what I get in result.

Getting a New Clone PC

I going to get myself a new PC in a few days time. I heard that it would be better if I give it a go for a clone PC as for gaming instead of a branded one. I have no idea on having what kind of specs for my new clone PC. So, any suggestions for me from you guys? Anyway, I'm new here.
