Need help: Cannot connect modem via cable

Hi there. I need some help here.

I realised my pc cannot connect /detect the modem/connection.

I have tried with other cable, still negative.
I have tried with other laptop, cable is ok.
I have bought another new network card, still negative.

I brought my pc to a pc-shop, still cannot. I was told that they couldn't find the problem. The pc can connect to internet at their place.

Is there something I can do to detect the faulty? Maybe at my modem? I use D-Link DSL-2640T.

my PC cannot start

Before, I brought my PC via flight back to KL from my hometown.
Before, it was okay. Suddenly after I am back in KL, it wont start.
I did not notice any hard impact to the PC as I was bringing it as a hand luggage.

There was no lights whatsoever, no fan movements.
I have tried to swap the cable with the monitor's..negative result.
I tried to pull the mobo off, then screw it back..negative result.
I tried to just connect to the mobo and cpu ...negative result.

However, I notice that after I try to reconnect the power supply to the mobo, the fans and lights turned on for half a second. Then off, back to normal.

Is there any chance or other theory that I could try before I send it to the shop. (where can I find one in Putrajaya?)

My final examination is on Friday...
wuhu..so many work to do..

problem with my wireless router modem

I am using TP-Link wireless router modem.
Have been using for about few months.
Somehow today,there is a problem.

wireless connection is not okay.
i can only use the cable.

if restart,the wireless connection is okay for about ten minutes.

help,please.

my friend fell her laptop,accidentally of course
she told me that the keypads are missing
the fan starts to "sing" weirdly.

is there any1 could tell me where I can get a worthy shop?
i think aroung lowyat is better right?

I intend to buy my own 1st new PC this weekend.
So, just 4-5 days to think about my list.
Actually, I want to buy a powerful gaming PC,but got some money problems.

So, I think I want to buy:
ddr3 capable mobo + chipset
1gb ram
40gb hd
cooler master casing + power supply
dvdrom
17" lcd monitor
lame keyboard + mouse

My budget is aroung RM2500.
Got some advice,anyone?
