choose the unit near to the pool or higher floor?

Hey dudes,

Need some advice on the choices. Intend to buy a vacation condo in Penang.

First Choice

1000 sqft, high floor, city view, one parking lot, asking RM623k

Second Choice
1500sqft, lower floor (near swimming pool and city view), two parking lots, asking RM713k

The 1500 unit is closed to the swimming pool and hence the swimming pool pump noise is quite annoying. Unless, you close all the windows and balcony door, then the noise wont penetrate in the house. I am not sure should I choose the bigger unit with cheaper sqft per unit or go for higher floor but more expensive pricing. What do you think?

New house key handover with delay &without CCC/CFO

My father-in-law bought a new house and the delivery of VP has been delayed approaching two months. Recently, the developer sent letter and called him to collect the keys with the notification that electrical and sanitary works are completing with delay. He happily collected the keys even though the reps asked him to inspect himself. We then visited the house on the first weekend after collection of keys. But, to our surprise, the sinks are incomplete without the water tap and the main gate are placed with a padlock but it is unlock. We couldn't place our padlock there. Then, we said perhaps we should visit again second weekend. And, today we went over. We were shocked seeing workers still come in and fixing electrical works. Then, we found out reddish urine with stinky smelling shits inside toilet bowls of two bedrooms' toilet. Then, we tried to look for neighbours and managed to talked to a couple who were inspecting their house too. Then only we came to know about the handover without CFO as the neighbours refused to collect the keys. Neighbours and ourshelves agree on the bad workmanship with structural cracking, water mark, fungus growing our master bedroom, paint peeling off etc. We did the defects inspection with labelling as advised by Aaron on his post. We were quite upset after spending whole day inspecting and labelling. Seriously, is there anything that we can do now except submitting the Defect Forms. The sad case is my father-in-law and husband wish to accommodate all siblings into a house and therefore pooling all funds to purchase this near to 900k property from well-established property developer.

Note: Having gone through the HBA article about the mystical CFO,I personally strongly agree with build and sell concept.

I didn't apply screen protector since I bought my mac.And I used to clean the screen every week. But, on this week cleaning, I found out there are dots of dust/ oil that cannot be removed. I've tried to clean with wet cloth or rub it but the stain still there. Please advise if I can send to switch and ask them to clean for me and apply the screen protector? My mac is only 2 months old

But, 1st of all can anyone tell me how to determine if the companies listed on Main Board is UMNO linked companies.

My supervisor suggests me to read a book from JOMO but I have yet to obtain the book.

My bro's PMR 09 scores as below:

Chinese-C
History-D
Kemahiran Hidup-B
Geografi-C
Science-C
Maths-A

And the school arranged him to the 2nd class of Form 4.

He will need to take Malay, English, Chinese, Sivik, Moral,Account,Engineering Drawing (Lukisan Kejuruteraan), Maths, History & Science.

I wonder if he doesn't take Additional Mathematics, and continue with this arrangement, can he still continue with STPM?

Or if we (family) decided to send him for private college for PreU course, does it ok with these course to enrol in Acccounting or Business background?

Kindly advise on the further studies route with LK or Engineering Drawing & Accounting.

Puppy fall sick

Hey all,

my doggie ( 5months old) keep vomiting white bubble and yellowish fluid bubbles on Wednesday.

also, her faeces contained blood clots.

we sent her to veterinary clinic on thursday morning and the doctor said is viral-infection.

and, doc mentioned that the infection is up to the stomach part, which is quite serious.

this infection is caused by no-injections were given when the doggie aged 7-week old.

well, the doc gv her an injection and some medicine to consume at home.

after taking the medicine, the dog stop vomiting but the faeces still contain blood.

The next day morning (Friday) we sent her to another veterinary clinic.

the sikh doctor gv her 2 injections and told us to bring her for follow up injections up to 5 days.

well, we were given a syringe for food feeding purpose.

this morning(Saturday) we brought her for another 2 injections and when she came home,

her body keep shivering and doesnt want to consume any food.

doggie didnt eat for 4 days ( frm Wed till Sat,today).

worrying this dog, if have any other alternatives that can make her eat?

we had tried to feed her oats, porridge, bread.. but.. she will jz walk away.

Any idea on Canon, Sony and Olympus?

PIKOM PC Fair-PENANG ( this week) and Camera Fair-PENANG ( last week) tempting me to buy a new digital camera.

Am using Konica Minolta Dimage G400 now.

My budget is within RM1500.

Normally used to capture on : Food, Scenery, Group Pic and of coz personal pic.

Prefer good image quality, worth for value and Easy to carry.

I was told that external lens produces better quality on image, becoz image directly capture on the memory.
external lens ( where the lens will "come out" when you click on "OPEN" button) and
internal lens ( where like SONY T90, push down the cover, and capture )

How ya? Any idea or recommendation?

Canon 870 IS? SONY T700? SONY T90? Olympus 1060? Olympus 1070?

Kindly advise me + recommend any model which is not bad

As a degree holder in Management, major in Finance and minor in Economics, I am having a dilemma now.

My convo is on Aug 08 and I wondering ...

1. To continue my study to Master of Economics Management-MEM ( as part-time)

2. To work and gain experience 1st.

I cant decide what I want to be in future and I registered myself as a full-time postgraduate in MEM last time while I am completing my degree.

Now, I am hesitating and in the midst to select whether to change my path from a finance student to an economics ( which I think that Finance is more marketable then Economics)

Anybody, please help out~

Had been using EPSON CX4700 for 1 year +

I am using the USB ( the one head with USB, another head is a square-liked head) to connect my EPSON CX4700 to my computer.

Recently, I found out that I can't scan document using the scanning function.

When I click on preview button on scanning software, I can see my document.

But, when I click scan button, I get a message and my document cannot be scanned.

"Cannot properly communicate with the scanner.
Make sure the scanner is on, properly connected and properly set up to
scan. If using a SCSI connection, restart your computer."

Anybody pls help me~

Just now when chatting thru MSN, I got a msg frm my fren.

She said : " I had found your photo"

Oops...then I keep asking wat photo..the 'virus' keep replying..

So, I think it was reliable msg...

Then, I jz accept the zip file she sent me.

Gosh, when I opened the file...

my MSN keep multiplying msg box to different friends..

At that moment, I realised... "gone d...my pc.."

Can you all pls help me to 'cure' my pc...

Currently doing my last semester in Bachelor of Degree in Management ( major in Finance, minor in Economics)

Wondering which pathway should I go for,after completing my Degree.

To continue with a MSc (Finance) or to go for CFA? Or Any Other Professional Course To Recommend?

* CFA will lead me to be a fund manager , if I passed all the 3 levels.

In fact, I am still distinguishing which career pathway I should follow..
( if I am interestes to be a consultant, if I am going to work with investment banks)

As I know Finance graduates is non-compatible wif accounting grads.
A few questions to ask :
1. How to 'improve' finance grads to the level of accounting grads?
e.g. : sit for LCCI/ACCA.
2. Can Finance grads holding the same position as accountant?
3. Which Financial Company in Malaysia recruit both finance and accountancy grads? ( esp in Penang )

My friend's computer show this :
"hardisk cannot detect operating system" when he boots his CPU.

1. What is the cause of this problem?

2. Is this hardisk problem?

3. Will the non-genuine version of windows cause the hardisk to fail?

4. Or, it is caused by virus infection?
