Parents dont let children go SG to work?

Guys, i recently heard my friend (29 years old) fighting with his mom because she doesn't let him go work in SG.

Although I understand that the mom had surgery 2 years ago and has a bit of difficulty in walking, but isn't it a bit too selfish to not let his son to go work there? Although now is covid-19, but pretty sure he is able to come back when more VTL flights are imposed.

Despite the importance of family and unity, people still young need to fight for his career also.

What you guys think? Should or shouldn't go.

SG Employers must pay CPF to Malaysian employees?

Guys, I would like to check whether do all Malaysians/Foreigners working in Singapore get their employers' contribution of CPF as well? I am specifically refering to those holding employment pass, not permanent residents or Malaysians who have converted to become Singaporeans. Will you guys with employment pass lose your employers' contribution portion if you are working in SG?

For my case, I do receive my employer's portion (17%) although I am not a PR yet. But i heard that some foreigners working in Singapore do not get paid on the employers' portion. Their employers only deduct income tax from their gross salary and thats why I wanna check with you all whether this is true or not.

Is this statement true? Just wanna double confirm this because I plan to switch job soon, and if really employers' dont pay their portion to foreigners without PR at least, then i might want to hold my horses until i gotten PR first.

Having troubles sleeping

I have no sleeping difficulties, however, I am facing one in recent two week whereby I am having troubles sleeping.

I tried all different kind of methods to fall asleep such as l
1. Listening to music - Barely works because I am not used to using this method to sleep
2. Medidate to "calm" myself - Not working, brain keeps thinking
3. Go out for a walk - Initially i did go out for walk, but then since i didnt sleep well for weeks, i scared i pengsan and tend not to do such vigrous activities because i do feel pain in my heart
4. Keep counting 0-100 inside my brain - Not working

What natural methods do you guys do to make yourself go to sleep? Mind to share sifus? I cannot always rely on sleeping meds to make myself asleep man!

Low basic, high allowance - Should i accept?

Guys, I need advice because currently I am in dilemma on whether or not I should take up the job offer.

My current salary package:
Basic Salary: RM8,000
Fixed allowance: RM475
Total: RM8,475
Benefits: EPF contribution rate: 12%, bonus about 1 month

I have been offer with a new job with the below salary package:
Basic salary: RM8,500
Fixed travelling allowance: RM3,000
Total: RM11,500
Benefits: EPF contribution rate: 16% (employer) & bonus is about 2 months - That's what HR told me (no black n white)

I have been working for like 7 years in accounting field and the current salary package is really very mouth watering. But my concern is just that there is very minimal jump from my basic salary of only RM500[U]. FYI, the fixed travelling allowance is fixed every month and i will get reimbursed should there be anymore travelling. So i am assuming that the company would like to offer such payment in such manner is to avoid contributing higher EPF because allowances macam is being excluded.

Will there be any concern that I should pay attention on before accepting the offer? Seems very very good offer during this pandemic period and i need the money to lighten my family burden also.

Any good renovation contractor to recommend?

One computer is on and whole house wifi slows down

I have a few laptops and desktops at home.

I have this problem whereby this particular desktop seems to slow down my Unifi speed. I have no problem with my internet speed and connections when this desktop is shut down.
But once I switch on this desktop, my internet speed slows down and the download speed all slow down for no reasons? And, I am not downloading anything from the desktop also slow.

What settings should I toggle to change such a thing from happening?

Guys, I recently installed Unifi in my house, and I have trouble with getting an excellent connection from some places in my house.

I live in a double storey house and the router and modem is all in my living room. I have good connection in all places except the downstairs study room.

I receive good signal (4 bars out of 5) from the wifi icon on the start bar, but the browsers are not moving at all. Cant even surf facebook, youtube, twitter. I managed to test its speed, but it is only 0.65mbps, I am receiving more than 25mbps in my living room.

Anyone can help me with my problem? If so, what should I buy? A new router? An extender?

TM gave me the TRG212M Wifi Router.

Streamyx problem

I am currently using streamyx 4mbps package, my area doesn't have unifi yet.
However when i try to load videos from my pc, it load very slowly. Eg: watching video on Youtube, it has to be played in 140p. other wise, it cant even load with 360p.

But when i test the internet speed, it is very fast. Around 3.5mbps. I guess this maybe got to do with my pc settings. Anyone here can help me?
