Scammer in TTDI

hey guy,

This is what i faced last Monday. I stopped my car beside road around Mr.DIY shop, TTDI about 7.30pm. Suddenly, one Indian old guy who wearing formal wear knocked my car window while i texting. He claimed that he is a lawyer working that area. His office was locked. His purse was inside. He calling help and need some money to go back home to take spare key. He say he will return me money in the next day and instantly asked my phone num then give me a miss call. Btw, he can speak fluent english.

From his outlook and action, so i believe what he said. I took RM20 to lend him for MRT ride. Nevertheless, he said he need faster to go back home so he need take a taxi, asking me to borrow more money, at night will transfer back to me. Since i have no small change, i gave him RM50.

In the next day, i try to call him, he picked up my call and say will call me back. He called me back in night, say the next day will give me a call to return my money. Same as that day, he never called me. Then i take initiate to call him. He seem like block my num, I cant go through. During night time, he called me. He say he at area no line for call, saying next day will call me and return my money. This sequences repeated few day. Finally i text him to make an appointment to meet up somewhere today. He promised that.

However, u can guess the ending, I waiting for 1 hour ++ , he never show up and block my call. (Maybe tonight will call me back say something happens to him? ) i do not know.

I think he is a expert cheating around. For me, losing RM50 of course not a very big deal. But I don't want more and more victims will be cheated to feed this kind of scammer, so i reveal my story here.

Btw, should i go lodge a police report? What else that I can do?

about signing offer letter

hi guys, need some advise...

Recently I get a better offer from company X. Company X ask me to sign offer letter by next week.

As normal practice, I plan to tender my resignation letter after sign that offer letter.

1) After signed the offer letter, if my current company counter offer me with better rewards, can I reject Company X?

2) I also attend Company Y's interview that i prefer to work on it but i not been selected yet. In case i been selected in last minute before I report to Company X, can I go for it?

TV signal not clear, what to do?

Hi, I staying in condo and just bought a TV. When i plug in antenna cable from TV to antenna plug, the signal is not clear, and very blur for few TV channels. Therefore, I bought an indoor antenna to try, it's better but still not have a good clear image. Any solution for this problem?

Entry level for home theater/ sound system

Hi all sifu. I bought an 40" LED TV and now wanna equip with home theater/ sound system. In fact, I don't watch movie very frequent, mostly watch TV news and sports. Dvd player also for play some cartoon to children. And i prefer listen music.

For my condition, is it Hi-Fi system more suit me instead of Home theater system? Any recommendation for these equipment for entry level? My budget not much, around RM500. What is factors to consider before choose? Thanks.

Hi, with my constraint budget on my new house move, I plan to buy some basic furniture. As I noticed, there have too many furniture shops promoting with high discount, normally they hang a big banner outside their shop. It is too difficult for me to visit one by one. I aim to buy for budget items instead of good design with high price. Any shops recommended for me? Thanks in advance.

Let say bank value Rm230k, ask price Rm260k after nego, still acceptable ?
