Destiny 2 LowYatNet Official Clan Recruiting

We are the original and official LowYatNet Clan. Established in 29 October 2017 (We're that old, we know) shortly after Destiny 2 was launched, we have been waving the LowyatNet banner ever since. Our popularity has naturally spun off sister clans and copy versions? (is it 2.0, 3.0 or 4.0 now? or some variant with LowYat.Net to try mislead). Flattering as it is but LYN is where it all began; having survived multiple incidents of petty drama, failed power coups, misinformation and even rumour mongering.

Yet, LowYatNet Clan still stands representing LowyatNet forum as it always has been.

We are a 18+ Malaysian GMT+8 clan based on NA server made up of gamers of diverse backgrounds (SEA & India) and nationalities. We are a casual bunch that enjoys all manner of PVE and/or PVP content. Nothing beats having to fire up Destiny 2 and having a safe and fun space is important to us so we are always on a lookout for like-minded players to add to our zany bunch.

Though respectful and polite (we have a zero tolerance policy for toxic behavior and bullying which we take extremely seriously); do enjoy occasional crude language and toilet humour.

So if you are looking to run content with fellow LYN gamers in Destiny 2 or just want to game and network with a multicultural diverse group of gamers. Come and check us out.

See you soon Guardian.

To join us:

click on the official LowYatNet Clan link

https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2/Index?groupId=2833448

or join us on clan discord

https://discord.gg/5ABmjxk

There is only ONE LowyatNet Clan for Destiny 2.
[But we don't mind more copycats or admirers. ]

Ampeg Micro VR: Worth it?

Hi all,

After many years I've finally decided to invest in a "proper" bass amp for once. Simply because this little Yamaha 20w bass amp was having trouble reproducing the different mid settings...ok ok...it had problems reproducing bass treble and pretty much anything out of my bass..there I said it I have a horrible bass amp.

So after much frustration, i decided hey, why dont I buy a proper bass amp...probably not the huge massive ones featured on bassplayer magazines by famous artist endorsees but a "respectable" practise/small gig kind of setup. Was looking at the Ampeg Micro VR which was small & light and loud too.

Any comments from more experienced bassists out there is welcome. I know next to nuts about amps only that I want something that doesnt weigh a ton, doesnt cost a bomb (and probably a divorce if the wife finds out) and is simple to operate.

Thanks

Stef

Help, Warrior who refuses to tank

Hiya guys. Need some help from the gurus of warcraft here. I have always played clothies, mage/priest/warlock..but now i'm stumped.

I have a friend in the guild, dwarf warrior, that refuses to act as a tanker.

We have all reached level 70. We are all running lev 70 instances now and gearing up for 10man and perhaps 20+ man raids in the future but for some strange reason he refuses to respec.

His reasons:

1. I have all this elite gear and can churn out high dps. you actually think i'm crazy enough to sacrifice all that to become a punching bag?
2. I can tank well enough... I've been accumulating protection gear so all i need to do is wear em and switch to defensive stance (is this correct? i'm not sure)

Also as a warrior attempting to tank in arms specialisation, i find that he is unable to hold aggro. He claims in every instance run that its the fault of the mages (me included) for dpsing to early. So we let him get 5 sunders in, we release frostbolts & combination of arcane spells for threat reduction and guess what after two shots..mobs start running to us???

My priest OOMs in every run. He says the warrior is taking so much damage that his heals cant keep up and worse he is holy specced. This warrior also has a habit of not following Marks that have been assigned by the leader e.g. feels that he is uber enough to solo a single mob by himself when the rest of the team is resting..that kinda thing.

and whats even worse...he can't progress further than sethekk halls cos he still believes that he can tank??!!

He basically says we clothies have no idea what it takes to be a tanker.

So Main Tankers out there...please oh please tell me how one respecs and gears to be a good tanker cos I really am in the dark in advising my real life friend.

Help much appreciated.

Guitar String Stories

Hiya all. I'm kinda bored at work and strangely enough have free time *gasp* So I'll make the best of it. Playing metal strings stretched at high tensions while pounding it with a plastic/nylon pick is kinda scary when you think about it. What are the humorous or wierd stories (accidents) that have happened to you while playing your guitar.

Please don't take this the wrong way Its just interesting to hear from the veteran guitar players out there with stories thats all.

I'll start with mine. The most memorable encounter with guitar strings was when I was strumming my heart out on my Sigma (Martin copy) Dreadnaught acoustic guitar. One of the strings snapped and strangely enough flipped back and impaled the back of my left hand. It was most uncomfortable....

maybe thats why i play bass now...hmmm
