Dear all,

I found a stray puppy @ Bayan Lepas airport awhile ago. Called SPCA Penang @ 0164166559 and the freak told me this;

i) they open till 12.30noon only. Suggest me tie the puppy @ their entrance. They will collect it on Monday.
ii) or leave the puppy as it is

If there's any volunteer willing to collect the puppy please help out. Currently the puppy is wandering around, I believe someone dump the puppy there a few days ago.

Accident with Metrobus

Dear all,

Yesterday, my car was involved in a minor accident along LDP (under the "Penang Bridge" traffic light heading towards Kelana Jaya) around 4pm. My car was stagnant at the traffic light and gashed by a Metrobus when the driver forcefully make a u-turn down towards Federal Highway. The bus actually got stuck at the divider on the right side and the front part of the bus hit the left side divider. A police petrol car passed by and instructed us to go report police instead of blocking the whole road (actually d bus is stuck and blocking the whole road) I lodged a report at the PJ Section 8 police station around 9.19pm and the officer in charge told me that the bus driver said I actually park my car at the road side blocking his path and he gash my car, which is a lie! When I told the officer in charge about the incident she was very skeptical and asked me to sketch the whole incident to her, which I did but she give me a very unpleasant look and just ask me to collect report on Monday morning. This is my 1st accident involving public transport, which actually I do not intend to claim insurance and if any passer by saw the accident and took pictures, please send me the pictures.

To all the pet rescuers (independant)

Recently me and my wife noticed that Sunway Light Industrial Area has become a place for irresponsible dog owners to dispose their dogs. Every week we see new dogs from puppy to full grown ones with tags wondering around the area. We sincerely hope that if anyone is interested to do a rescue operation please let us know and we will assist. The reason for rescue is because the area is full of big vehicle and not to forget mechanic who frequently test their vehicles there. It is a 100% hazard for the dogs.

Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK) is urging dog-owners and animal rescuers to come forward to claim more than 40 dogs in their dog pound, caught by their dog-catchers about two weeks ago.

The municipal had contacted SPCA Selangor and requested for help in creating awareness about the plight of the pound dogs, as their time was quickly running out.

The dogs were caught in the Bayu Perdana, Jalan Meru and Bandar Baru Klang area. Many of the dogs were wearing collars and were in good condition – they seemed to be lost or straying pets. The others appeared to be strays or long-abandoned pets and are in poor condition – emaciated, infested with ticks and with skin problems. Both pet and stray dogs appeared to be distressed – the pound was the last place on earth where they wanted to be.

The SPCA Selangor Inspectors and vet visited the pound on Tuesday, bringing with them two big bags of dog food and medication. The dogs were being fed bread and water daily and the kennels were cleaned out by the staff.

MPK and SPCA Selangor have agreed that it will impose compulsory neutering as a condition of release for the claimed dogs – to prevent unwanted litters in the future. Owners can claim their dogs until the 9th of December 2009, after which the dogs will be open for adoption to animal rescuers and animal lovers until the 14th of December 2009. There will be a discounted rate on the reclaimation fee for all dogs.

Unclaimed dogs will be euthanized (put to sleep) on the 15th of December 2009.

I've came across a few hypermarket in klang valley that allows some pet traders to irresponsibly place their kiosk WITHOUT the supervision of staff. Have a look at the photos below and judge if this kinda business should be allowed. The latest kiosk I came across was in Tesco Puchong. Strong stench emit from this little kiosk where half dead / dead pets, ranging from tortoises and fish were displayed. Tortoises were placed in this tupperwares without water and food, most of them dry up and died. Look at the fish in the plastic bags, died for a few days and the murky water. It was a tortured and sore to the eye. I approached the floor manager and complained about it a few weeks before, no action was taken because the irresponsible company maybe paid a few millions to Tesco for their kiosk. I wrote a few letters to Tesco regarding this matter and still no action were taken. Besides that, curious kids and some idiotic adults will shake the containers and plastic bags. I got so annoyed and scolded one man who shake the tortoise container. So fish lovers, tortoise lovers and for those who have a heart out there, how can we end the misery of this poor animals?

{WTA} Wira SE Shock Absorber

Guys, I think I have read in the past threads regarding this recommended shock absorber for Wira cars but I couldn't find it. I want to know what is the best price for Kayaba Absorber (rear, gas) and is there any fake ones in the market? I was offered RM 110 each (incl) installation) by the mechanic. My budget shud not exceed rm 150 each. The mechanic also recommended rear alignment after changing d shock absorbers

Questions would be:-
1) If there happen to be fake ones, how do I distinguish it from d real ones?
2) I use my car for normal driving and I rarely race, so is Kayaba good enough or do I nid something like 'Monroe'?
3) My colleague also mentioned that if I take Monroe, shud take d black color type as the blue color ones are el' cheapo version! True?

Any inputs or idea are greatly appreciated.. tx
