Mine is Metro-E from Time and is only available in 5Mbps or 10Mbps

Hmmm my company's been using Metro-E for 2 months already coz we were in the testbed area but Time and TM are supposed to launch the Metro-E system this month... it's 5Mbps and 10Mbps over Ethernet directly to end user. In my office they used Ethernet over Fiber so it's very fast...no lag wei.. Skype works so well w/o lag too

Disappointment with Colorful 8600GT card

Hi All,

I've been using an MSI 8600GTS for quite some time. Last night I plugged in a friend's Colorful 8600GT to help him test. To my surprise the color on my screen isn't as rich and vibrant as my own MSI card. I used to believe that NVidia cards colors are not as rich and vibrant as ATI cards but I'm very shocked that there's a difference between 2 different brand cards with the same GPU.

The other thing I noticed is the curved lines on 3D applications are not as smooth the ones I see with my card. I did not change the application's AA settings between tries.

These are just my opinion from my observations. I don't have another Colorful card to draw a conclusion from but I believe the above is enough for me to think twice about buying China made graphic cards anymore.

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone here's using Metro-E? It's a new service by TIME and TMNet which does away with DSL or Wireless as a last mile. Instead, Metro-E is deployed over Ethernet directly to your location.

We've just got it installed in our office and it's very fast because it's fiber all the way to our Linksys router

It'll be officially launched in October but for now we're getting a cheap rate because our office is in the test bed. We're paying only RM799 for 5MBps over fiber. The latency is very low.
