Liquid leaking out from my old car battery

I just noticed that liquid leaked out from my old car battery which i put inside my boot. I sent my car for service previously and the service center just put the battery inside my car. After I received the car, I moved the battery into the boot and placed it horizontally. I didn't know that the way i put the battery can cause something leaking out from it. I want to know whether the liquid leaked out from it is poisonous or not. Since now i had remove the battery out of my car, how can i clean the mat? Any special way to clean it or just clean it by using water?

I am new here. I will be getting a laptop on around December. I need recommendations from you guys.

Make it short,
- prefer to have 15" or larger.
- games that I'm currently playing are Dota,Dota2 and HoN. But will not play any games which need high extensive graphic such as BF3 and etc.
- Will use it to watch drama and movie as well
- i5 is more than enough for me.
- Prefer to have GPU instead Intel own generated graphic drive on processor.
- NOT to have Asus after heard so many dissatisfaction over their after sales service. Any other brands other than Asus will do.
- is there any new models going to launch within these 2 months. If yes, mind to share the models that probably will be available soon.
- Budget not more than RM3k.
