Here's a fun one for all you people out there in guru-land.

I have a user, their computer is on a corporate network using a windows domain and active directory.

They cannot print from excel to an HP LJ3500, they click to print and nothing happens. They can print from other programs fine. They can print to other printers fine. Other users with the same network privileges can print to the same printer from excel fine. I can print from her computer to the same printer fine.

Restarting the print spooler service solves the problem until the computer is next rebooted. (I have been getting a call a day to restart the spooler service)

The printer is using the PS driver rather than the PCL as this is normally more stable.
I have reinstalled the networked printer to ensure the driver being used is the same as everyone else.
I have purged her profile and re-instated a blank one - involving again re-installing the printer driver.
I have repaired her installation of office in the instance that this might have been causing the problem.

The problem only occurs when printing to the HP from Excel, any other program or printer is fine.

Any ideas?

Dear all,

Yesterday, i try to upgrade 2 GB ram to my old pC Acer Veriton 5800. After install, boot up the window maybe arround 5 minute, it will
hibernate by it self. Monitor show out of range, set to low resolution. I thougt the ram is not support, place back the old ram...problem still there. Hibernate after login window. Please help.

Upgrade 512mb PC2-4300 533 to 2 GB PC2-4200 533

Splitter Not Working

dear all,

Since my splitter kene strike by lightning, i can't use splitter anymore. Lucky my PC and modem still can use, splitter= koyak. Already replace a new splitter but, phone and modem cannot work at the same time. I need to cabut and plug it back if i want to use phone or internet...ayooo.. Any problem with line or splitter? Bought 2 new splitter already but still same. Try to my neighbour house seem ok. Use Riger TM modem. Please help.

Hi there,

Just upgrading my set. Below are the main spec.

Its 500Gb HDD (SG)
Motherboard - Gigabyte AMD - UD3H - ATX
Chipset - AMD - Phenom 8650 x3
Display card - Gigabyte - 1Gb DD3 256bit (9800GT Zalman).

I just got the SATA DVD Writer, then pasang already.
Other stuff
CD Rom and thats about it.

I still maintain to the old 500W power supply.. so i tot it would be fine.

Now seems like I need to just forget the whole darn thing and just change the casing and power supply to avoid any further frustration.

I read in one article just now, the engineer said, it could be two reasons :-
1. The display card is overheating and is causing the Monitor to shut down (but in my case, the power is completely gone until i take out plug it back in).
2. The power supply is insufficient power cannot help "Power hungry Display cards".

What say you?

got 1 switch 8 port full usage....line not stable...

my question is would a faulty switch(heavy traffic) or router will cause the problem above?....i call streamyx and they said that they already change the port.....in this case would they simply change the port.....tmnut sucksssss......TQ...
