Hi,

After sharing my thumbdrive at college, i noticed that i cant create new files and some of files are blocked from being transfered. It is not like that before i share it. I check the thumbdrive using Ubuntu Feisty, there's a RECYCLER folder and "S-XXX.."(X as random numbers) subfolder. Inside the subfolder exists two files "Desktop.ini" and "ipse32.exe". But i was unable to delete the files since in ubuntu, i dont have any privilege to modify the drive. If i were to delete the RECYCLER folder in XP, it will give me "Cannot delete Desktop: The device is not ready." and "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive E:."

I have scanned the folder using Avira AntiVir Personal, and it gives me BDS/Hamweg.B.7 alert. But was unable to clean it. I found this link : hxxp://www.windowsbbs.com/malware-virus-removal/76762-resolved-infected-bds-hamweg-b-7-a.html . I have tried using sUb's flash disinfector and got the "Done!!" prompt. But the RECYCLER folder and its content is still there and the thumbdrive lags whenever im trying to open the RECYCLER folder.

The summary of what i have tried:
1. Delete the files under Ubuntu - (Device not ready/No permission) : fail
2. Using AntiVir to delete - (Windows No Disk and various errors) : fail
3. Using Windows explorer - (Windows No Disk and various errors) : fail
4. sUb's flash disinfector - (Done!! prompt) : fail
5. Using "Erazer" :

Failed: E:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1482476501-1644491937-682003330-1013\Desktop.ini (The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.)
Failed: E:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1482476501-1644491937-682003330-1013\ipse32.exe (The device is not ready.)

6.HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool V2.1.8 (Device media is write-protected) : fail
7. Windows Check Disk, Auto fix system errors (Windows was unable to complete the disk check.) : fail
8. Windows format,with and without Quick Format (Windows was unable to complete the format) : fail
9. Using NimbleX linux to delete using Konqurer and Gparted to partition (locked eventhough I have permission) : fail

Could any smart lowyatians help me out? please, i really dunno what else to do
