CIMB Home Flexi Loan

Hi All,
Recently SST is imposed on certain banking products and this CIMB Home Flexi has a 10 ringgit service charge and with the SST it becomes 10.80.
Has anyone managed to remove this 10 ringgit service charge? When i sign up they told me its for the cheque book but i never used the cheque book.

Any advice from existing loan holders?

Which offer is the better choice?

A little background , i already have a housing loan full flexy account with CIMB. This is before capping is implemented.

I am not in the midst of procuring a second property for own stay and i have 3 offers currently.

MBB
Semi Flexy ( However i can do prepayment online and withdrawal online without notice , with a 25 ringgit withdrawal fee)
Rate is 2.95
CLTA 10 years around 12500
Installment is highest around 2390
Loan Tenure same as PBB

PBB
Semi Flexy ( However prepayment have to do over the counter and not sure if can withdraw online or not and if need to give notice with a 50 ringgit withdrawal fee)
Lowest Rate is 2.90
CLTA 6 years around 7500
Installment is second highest around 2360
Loan Tenure same as PBB

RHB
Full Flexy
Rate is 2.95 (same as MBB)
CLTA 9 years around 13000 ( most expensive and less one year than MBB)
Installment is actually the lowest at 2340 because i have one year extra on the loan tenure compare to the other two.

Is the best choice would be PBB? Although the lack of online facilities is abit annoying it means everytime want to dump money need to go
branch. Nowdays the queue is really long. Also i been seeing some people in forum seems to be anti PBB because of their strict methodology with defaults and late payments.

Anyone have any idea on how RHB full flexy works if its a daily interest?

Hi All,

Looking for some suggestion on landed freehold for own stay around the area of Hulu Langat consisting Kajang , Semenyih and Bangi and also Serdang. Can consider Bukit Jalil area as well . My budget is 550 K.

Reason why parents currently living in Ampang and i am working at KL Sentral and KLCC so this side of Selangor ( south east) / KL seems better suited.

I have been trying to search in Mudah but there is a lot ads where the price seems to be to good to be true and when try to contact the agents seems not able to connect through or not picking up.

Preferably new projects but also can consider subsale if the house not older than 5 years.

Any suggestions ?

SUV Recommendation

I have a 2005 X-trail 2.0 usually used for family trip and not for day to day . Looking to replace it but searching for SUV that has cheap after service parts, fuel friendly and value for money.
Had a look on the next X-trail but was recommended by my mechanic neighbor that Nissan parts are very costly especially X-trail. Also he recommend Toyota cars, but i seen the general suggestion is C-HR in Malaysia is overpriced and not worth the price.

I am also thinking if its worth to wait for the Proton SUV or should take advantage of the 3 months tax window we have.
Looking forward to some recommendation.

Non Vehicle Owner Life Insurance Allianz PA

Hi Guys,
I am driving a car owned by my mom, and normally i renew roadtax and insurance in the Pos Office. Since this car is more than 10 years not many company is willing to renew it.

The question, is when I go to post office they name of the insured is under my mother for the life insurance portion. And according to post office , it must follow the name of the car owner and they cant add additional name. I am referring to Allianz PA which comes with the Allianz Car Insurance.

Does anyone know that this can be done elsewhere or other insurance provider which has the same PA insurance benefits which can serve a driver who doesn't own the vehicle?

Hi Guys,
I just like to know what is current rate for agents when it comes to renting out units. I was checking out a few units in M Condo in Johor to rent out and they told me they need 5900 up front .
Which is 1 month rental 1600 + 1 month deposit 1600 + 1 month utilities 1600 and tenancy agreement 300 and consultation fees 800. As far as I remember the owner will give the agent one month fee for looking for tenant and tenancy agreement will be paid by the tenant. However, this consultation fees is new to me? Is this normal ?

Windscreen Fix

Hi , I just had a windscreen crack and its getting longer. The thing is my roadtax died on the same day. I was wondering is it possible to get a new roadtax+insurance including windscreen and use this to claim ? And i prefer to let the shop deal with the insurance agent directly rather than pay first and claim later. Any idea which insurance company can do this?

CIMB Increase BLR

I just received a letter from CIMB that they have revised my flexy loan monthly payment to a new amount due to the new change in BLR rate to 6.85% from the 31/01.

Have anyone else received this?

My Dell Experience 2016

I have so far purchased 3 Dell notebooks, and as far as I know the common issue the battery always die after 1 year. Some other minor issue whereby their support would immediately come and fix after a phone diagnosis.

But this week I had an horrible experience. I called them on Monday reporting the wireless is not working, so what happened their phone support, Mr.A sent me an email with the drivers and told me to install them and check if not ok, reply the email and he will setup a technician to come over. This conversation lasted for 30 minutes after 10 minutes holding to get a line. I did installed and replied the email, then I didn't get any acknowledgement from the email.

Next day I call them again, repeat the whole thing said i sent an email and no replied, this time with Miss.A , Miss.A told me that Mr.A was on MC so couldn't reply the email. So made some diagnosis and she said she will get a technician to come over will email me. This conversation is another 40 minutes. Same thing no one emailed me that day and no call.

Next day i call them again , this time talk to Mr.B, Mr.B check and say this is normal. Only got part only technician can come, and I asked if the part only got after one year then only he will come is it. He said arrogantly did you read the policy and yes. Then he said normally wont be one year. Then he checked he said the parts is already there and say technician will call .

Fourth day, call them again. This time scold Mr.C, he said someone called me but cant get me. I said no miss call. Then confirm number and all. At the same time I was messaging Dell FB page, and they as well told me the same . I asked them to confirm the number, and the number they gave is +6001XXXXXXX , which idiot use double 00. They corrected the number and in evening I got a call from a Digi number. He said he is Dell technician but now too late he cant come. He said tomorrow he on leave and someone else will call me. I ask him give me his technician number he said will sms, sms also never come, call and call no answer.

Is Dell really poor now a days ? I am in the midst of getting another laptop, in fact I already got a quotation from Dell but postponed after Ms.A from Dell Support told me all Dell laptops with W10 is having alot issue and advice me dont buy the one with W10 for now.

TLDR version:
- Monday - Log a case with Dell, email reply ask to send technician
- Tuesday -Support say MC
- Wednesday -Support say Next Business Day depends on Part, no parts no come, one year no part , one year no come
-Thursday - Technician keep wrong number +6001XXXXXXX , Technician call say too late, tomorrow holiday
- Friday-- ???

Anyone can advise if there is better brands out there with better After Sales service.
