Uni for Networking

Hi. I'm an SPM leaver and would like to get into foundation for further studies, probably in Networking or related fields. I've researched about unis like UTAR, INTI, MMU, Sunway, APU, UCSI and could not decide which uni to go for.

My first priority would be the campus location.
Second would be the availability of twinning programme (with acceptable unis)/credit transfer(?)/student exchange, the price (anything below Monash/Nottingham is fine), and their modules and syllabus. I think they are equally important.
Third would be the worthiness of the uni's cert.

I've actually cancelled out INTI as from what I know online, the foundation for IT pathway is only available in Nilai campus, which is not a location I want.
UCSI is not famous for their IT courses, and MMU is getting bad reviews recently about their quality declining. Sunway and APU have mixed reviews, however I will probably choose APU over Sunway since they specialise in IT. UTAR is as usual, challenging exams and extreme reviews about it as people either tell you to avoid it, or to go for it.

I would also like to have someone enlighten me about credit transfer to overseas unis as I literally can't find any info about it. Do you need a twinning programme to be transferred? Is it 100% possible to transfer to the partner unis provided that I meet the CGPA requirement?

Thank you very much.

Streamyx is crap? Sometimes' not!

Well, I had never appreciated TM's Streamyx internet in my area.

A year ago, I got disconnected for at least 5 times per day, and it is only fixed after more than 10 complains.

The maximum speed is still 1Mbps here, so I can just get that package, it's goddamn slow you know...

Surprisingly, I got the max speed with my 1Mbps package Streamyx on peak which is about 56Mbps (7 Megabytes per second) when the download starts and the speed slows down slowly, which ends with about 2Mbps when the download is completed.

I'm shocked and feeling quite happy as well, but the thing that makes me confusing is can TM make it to that speed? If yes, why the 1Mbps package is the only available package in my area?

PenangFON

Yo everyone! I'm new here!

I'm using Streamyx-on-the-box RM60/month for a download speed of 512Kbps. Now I've discovered the PenangFON which is also RM60/month and the download speed is 2Mbps. It is night now and I'm not gonna phone them, LOL! Btw, just couldn't find their email and wanted to ask some questions here:

1) Does it available for landed houses? I searched some forums and some say yes but the website does not show any proof.

2) The ETTH package gives Ethernet, can I buy a wireless router and plug it in for wireless use?

Blessings,
Kelvin♫
