"PETALING JAYA, June 22, 2015:
Baffling but true! Car thieves first stole a luxury car, returned to the scene to steal another, both valued about RM1.5 million, only to
return them to the owner in pristine condition hours later.They even vacuumed, washed and shined the luxury Bentley and Audi Q7, before
leaving the cars at a car park in a prominent hotel in Bukit Tinggi, Klang where police recovered them over the weekend.Checks by
The Rakyat Post revealed the first thief entered the three-storey bungalow of a property development tycoon in Subang Heights during the
wee hours on Saturday through a side door on the ground floor.

The home owner, a Datuk Seri and his family were on the upper floors, unaware of the intruder’s’ presence.The car key to the Bentley and the
main gate access card were taken before the burglar drove off in the RM1 million car.A review of the CCTV recording showed the intruder
returned about 30 minutes later in the Bentley with an accomplice who then drove off in the Audi Q7. The Bentley was fitted with a single digit
registration plate, while the Audi was fitted with a double digit plate.Seven other cars, which included a Mercedes, Alphard and Mini Cooper,
were left behind.The Datuk Seri realised the break-in after he awakened and lodged a police report.

Coincidentally, owners of at least four other homes in the vicinity also lodged reports their cars parked in their porch had been broken into
around the same time.Acting on a tip-off, a police party led by Assistant Superintendent Johnnie Quek laid ambush at the hotel just before
9am.The searched every room of the hotel looking for the suspect who had been identified from the bungalow’s CCTV recording.When the
search proved futile, the police towed the stolen vehicles from the car park to the Subang Jaya police station.

Coincidentally, this was the second reported incident where a stolen car was returned.Several years ago, a Honda CRV, which contained a
custom-made cutlery silverware worth more than RM25,000,was stolen was from the Bangsar Shopping Centre in Jalan Maarof.The car was
registered to a senior federal civil servant and used by his wife, a Datin Seri, who had gone to collect the wedding gift set.Within an hour after
the theft, the underworld was abuzz with news about the stolen Honda CRV.Later the same day, a Superintendent lodged a report at the
Puchong police station that he had recovered the stolen Honda CRV. "
