Can't boot up after Installing POWER SUPPLY.

I recently purchased a "used" Hiper Type R (Red Label) 580watt psu. The psu was apparently more like a demo unit which was used to test and for a review, for a couple of days. That was what I was told by the owner.

I only installed it last night....

I checked all connections and i thought that everything seemed ok....

I am sure the PSU currently exceeds the specs of my rig. Apart from the usual single DVD, single HD and single vga, I am only running a Sunbeam multi front panel and (2x12inch) + (3x8inch) fans with LED.

Anyways...after connecting everything up.....I hit the POWER button....all the lights were working fine but the fans were not moving....the CPU fan was not even moving....nothing!

The power supply's red LEDs worked, but the fan wasn't working. So i tried disconnecting the 2x12inch fans from my side panel.....booted up the system again....still nothing, but this time the 2x8inch fans were moving....but the rest seems not working....but only the LEDs worked.

Hope someone can shed some light over my problem and perhaps help me troubleshoot.

Thank you!

Hi guys,

Ok this sounds like a newbie question (haha)....but it's now bugging me.

I bought 2 copies of FEAR from 2 separate places and yet after installing the game....and after launching it, it keeps saying the DVD is not inserted.

There are no cracks to install since it uses a CD key...

Any ideas what to do?

Thank you!

My new PC ... seems very slow!

Hi guys,

I got a system built at All IT Hypermart this weekend....was excited with all the specs below at first until i ran the PC. *So disappointed now*

The Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86ghz

Gigabyte 965P - DS3

Corsair 1Gb (2x512mMb) DDR2 XMS5400

Seagate 320Gb 7200 16mb Sata3

XFX GeForce 7600GS 256Mb DDR2

Cooler - Gigabyte Pro GH-PDU21-MF

Casing - icute QH01-4GA with side panel + 12inch fan for CPU

PSU - Standard 450watt icute ATX included with case

My problem is:

1) At default Bios setup the system runs at multiplier x6 @1.6Ghz,FSB=266mhz, Bus speed=1066 mhz. Voltage keeps jumping from 1.200-1.240v

2) The cpu ooler comes with a fan controller...but somehow if i turned it left to the lowest setting, the fan may stop esp when system is idle. The case fan is still blowing air direct over the fan/fins of the cooler. So is it normal that the fan may stop since it's on auto mode in bios? So far, I hardly get to hear the fan move at it's highest speed at it's loudest, even though I set it to it's highest setting. CPU temperature from PC Wizard 2006 always states 39C while the Easytune program (in PC Heath) states 34C. Which is which now?

3) My Windows XP Home (purchased original and got them to install) somehow i can't Activate with the key and it says i used the key too many times and got 2 days left to activate. I suspect the system builder is screwing me here

4) Seems that my PC is not running at its optimal speed/potential or is it that at startup...there is really not much difference between the C2Duo and my old junk of the AMD Athlon XP +1800 with 512Mb?

5) Is the included PSU so bad that when I try to even use Easytune to get it to overclock to "Cruise" mode that the system will hang/freeze? Or it is something is just not right?

6) Disappointed and fed up...so lazy to carry the damn machine to LYP. But have to lor....

PLEASE someone help me! Tell me what to do!

Thank you!
