Digi Roaming Pass Review

Hi guys!

I'm flying to Japan soon for work trip for about 2 weeks so I was wondering if anyone tried the Digi Roaming Pass package before? How is the connection overseas? (If can, how is it in Japan?)

It's about rm95 for 30gb Internet for 30 days.

I'm thinking if it's worth to get this, or just use klook and get a sim card for 200++.

Thanks!

Demotivated on Finding a Relationship

Hiya everyone, honestly need some advice here. Not sure if such post is allowed but please remove it if it's not. First off, I'm an introverted male.

So I've been using dating app for close to 2 years (namely okcupid and CMB , and trying others as well later on) and I have very very little match. Moreover, if there's a match, either I'm being ignored (not sure why they match anyway) or the chat is like an interview with one or two words reply. I haven't even found anyone that I can chat normally even as a friend.

Since these apps can throw in intro and message when liking them, I guess I throw over hundreds of them. But probably only got 1 that actually responded to the message. Not sure whether it's my physical appearance that is a less significant compared to probably hundreds of likes they get.

Advice needed on this point, I'm not sure if I should opt for premium version for these apps that might increase my chances (For CMB, I had trial for a week quite some time ago but it's not really helping much). I keep getting people around me (well they already in a relationship) saying that this kind of premium is a waste of money but I am reaching a point where 2 years of swiping not bearing any fruits. I'm thinking of also maybe joining virtual events to expand my social circle to look for a chance but am not sure where to look for it.

Any help from the gurus here? You can say that I'm quite desperate as I'm reaching my 30s and haven't got into any relationship before.

Thanks!

Public Transport Question to The Cube Puchong

Hi guys! Not sure if this is the right section to ask this but hopefully I can get a few replies.

I'm going to work in The Cube, Puchong soon and I'm rather unfamiliar with Puchong area. Plus I did not own my own car at the moment (and I did not drive for quite a long time too ) so I'm planning to take public transport. Due to some circumstances, I'm planning to stay at my bro's place and tumpang his car to Taipan, Subang where he works, and take LRT from there to Taman Perindustrian Puchong LRT station. I heard the journey is very long and might take up to 1 hour to reach.

I did some research and found out T600 bus is the most appropriate bus for me to reach the Cube. However, I'm not sure if there's any bus stop near that area cause from the bus route I got from rapidkl site, it passed by that area and didn't stop. According to the website, it stop at Columbia hospital and make its way to Casa Puteri apartment next, supposingly passed by the Cube. So am wondering if anyone here actually take the bus to the cube before and if anyone is familiar with the bus route there, that would be helpful too.

So at the moment I'm very lost due to me not being familiar with the area and hopefully I can get some helpful advice on how to get there from you guys. Thanks!

P.S.: Someone did suggest me to use grabcar too but its about RM11++ per journey so its rather costly for me

Postgraduates in Japan

Hi guys!

Can anyone who been to Japan for postgraduates share your story while you are there? Wanted to know what kind of life I can expect from there and also if we actually have the time to go for their annual festivals and stuff to get a closer look in their culture (really interested in this!).

So a bit on my current situation, I'm still thinking about going for Master's or getting a job. I just finished my degree in Electrical Engineering and am hoping to get a place in Japan for maybe Master's in Comp Science or Renewable Energy (solar energy etc.).

Maybe I could learn more from you guys or get some advice?

Thanks a lot!

Working in another field

Hi guys,

I'm a fresh graduate who just finished my engineering course (electrical). I know as a fresh grad along with our current economy situation, I shouldn't ask much and just get a job but still, I wanted a few advice. I wanted to try working in a gaming company (maybe like Streamline or Bandai Namco which just opened recently), I have very basic knowledge in C++ but if compare to an IT student, I might not be very good at programming. In addition, my course didn't cover other programming languages such as Java etc. However, one thing I'm confident is that I am very passionate in gaming and always wanted to try developing / making one myself. Therefore, I'm very willing to learn under experience developer.

The question is I'm not sure what I should do to pursue this dream. I'm not sure if its a viable option for my future (as I have almost nil knowledge in such field) or I should just get an engineering job and go on with life.

Thanks

Planning on going Masters in Japan

Hi guys!

So I just completed my bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and I would love to continue pursuing my postgraduate studies in Japan. However, I got a few questions:

1. I'm thinking of taking something like software engineering as I would love to indulge myself on programming software/programs/games etc. but is it recommended to shift to software since I just completed electrical engineering degree?

2. The reason I chose Japan is cause of a probably shallow reason which is to learn their culture and wanted to try and live there (its been a dream for me since secondary school). However, what are the recommended universities that I should take note off for software engineering?

3. If I'm keen and decided on going, who should I look for or what steps should I take to register for it?

Sorry guys, I really need help as I'm very lost right now. There are almost zero information given by my university regarding on studying postgraduate overseas and my lecturer seems to stop responding to my enquries. I've been stuck for more than a month now with no progress so I will deeply appreciate any help on my doubts and information that I can get from the community here.

Thanks a lot guys! Cheers!
