Hello Sifus,

Since the beginning of 2025, I have been cracking my head for the most cost effective way to use MyInvois.

I have tried bukku.my however the website is just a pain to use.

Previously, before MyInvois was announced, I've been using Zoho Invoice (free version). I don't mind payment a reasonable monthly subscription but for the life of me, I don't seem to be able to find a working solution.

I am wondering any sifus here know if Odoo or Zoho is able to integrate MyInvois? and how much would it cost.

Upgrade Internal SSD or use an external?

I am having a dilemma on my MacBook internal storage. even with 2tb iCloud, my internal storage is always full.

Is it worth while to get a professional to upgrade the internal storage or should I opt for an external ssd?

If it's an upgrade, any recommendations?

If it's external, which one should I get for optimum speed?

Gaming laptop/desktop under RM2000

I love to play Dota 2 and I only play Dota 2, I've been playing Dota 2 on my Apple MacBook for quite some time however lately, I feel that the game is taking a toll on my laptop.

I am thinking I shouldn't push my MacBook too far.

I am looking for a laptop or a desktop set up under RM2000 that is sufficient to run Dota 2.

Perhaps any sifu here can suggest?

Shared hosting or Private Cloud?

Hello guys,

I am stuck in a conundrum.

I am currently hosting a booking website that is heavily reliant on wordpress plugins.
I am currently using a shared host. However the load speed of the website is very sluggish with the amount of plugins required by the booking system.

I was wondering will a private cloud host solve the issue of sluggish initial load speed? I have lite speed installed but it only makes a slight difference.

Wordpress Registration Page

Hello Sifu,

I am building a website and would like to use a registration page as a marketing tool.

By that I mean my promoter will have an iPad in hand, they can help users to register.
However if they use the existing registration page, after registration, it will automatically log in the user, which will waste some time for the promoter to logout and go to registration page again.

This auto log in is useful for self registration with I don't want to disable, but I am thinking if there is a plugin that I can install to create another registration page where people can register and it won't auto login.

Wordpress booking system with credit

Hello Sifus,

I am trying to create a booking page for sport events that I host on a weekly basis.

I have been thru many "booking system" for Wordpress but literally all of them that I manage to Google DO NOT have a "credit" system.

I mean by credit system is that my customer will purchase a package that will issue the user xxx amount of "credits". This credit is reflected in their Wordpress account. Whenever they wanna book a session, the booking system will automatically deduct the credit from their account.

Anyone here know a system that can provide this service?

I manage to find SuperSaas that has this but I am seeking for something that is native to my Wordpress and not a 3rd party website integrated into my website.

Hello,

I am working on a booking platform. However this service is not from Malaysia and they only provide payment gateways like PayPal and Stripe.

I believe most Malaysian consumer will prefer not to use foreign payment gateways. This platform allows me to use my own payment gateway like TNG.

However I lack the knowledge on how to implement it. I am seeking if anyone here has the knowledge to implement TNG payment gateway?
The platform has already provided me with a documentation but I cant understand it.

Hello Sifus,

I am trying to build a website that can do a specific thing. When someone upload a file via my website (no login required), they are given a random code (8 digit code).

The person can use this code to retrieve the uploaded file from another PC.

Is there any ready made scripts that can achieve this?

Printing shop all-in-one software

I am opening a print shop in a college and would love to implement a self-service printing facility for the student.

I have tried allowing them to use the existing PC with all existing software however with the variety of software available to use, all settings screen are different.

I am wondering is there any all-in-one solution with a UI that the student that just click and go?

Searched online but it seems like this is a very specific software.

Hello,

I am starting a printing business and it is required to set up networking between the PCs and the printers.

I was wondering is networking as easy as getting a switch, LAN cables and connecting all of them together? Or is there any coding required?

As far as I know about printers is that I need to install drivers but that is for USB, I’m not sure if that’s the same case using LAN cable?

Appreciate some help coz I’ve asked IT specialist and networking service is quite pricey.

Hi Sifu, I have been pondering if I should get the iPad mini now.

I’ve been reading some news about iPad mini and it all has different opinion on when the next one will be released. Some say March.

I just don’t wanna get one now and find out that March they launch a new version of iPad mini.

What do you reckon? Will Apple announce the mini in March?

Restore Backup every time restart PC

I will be starting a business soon where customer can utilise our in-house PC, however, I wish to keep the system clear of any virus or junk files.

Hence I am thinking to have the windows automatically restore the PC to the saved backup file every day when we restart the PC.

Can any sifu suggest a software that can automatically do that?

Mold between glass and LED

Hello Sifus,

My laptop has a literal virus in between the front glass and LED screen. I am not sure how to mold got into that area, but it’s spreading like wild fire.

It started off as a small dot 2 weeks ago, and now it’s as big as the attachment below.

I took it to an Apple service centre but they told me they can’t clean it. I got to change the whole LED.

Is there any way to just clean the thing or any services out there that can assist to clean it?

I know it’s an old laptop hence changing the entire LED would not make sense as it cost nearly 1k to change it.

Any thoughts?

Remapping drum kit on Garageband

I have recently bought an electric drum and enjoying it connected to my macbook's GarageBand.

However, it seems that GarageBand is only picking up a single sound on my cymbals. I was wondering how do I remap the midi on GarageBand? Tried looking it online but couldn't find any tutorial on it (or maybe my keywords are wrong).

Is my WP overloading my host or its common?

Hello webmaster sifu,

I have recently transferred a new domain (domain2) into my existing host on serverfreaks.

Before installing wordpress on the new domain, my existing website on the existing domain (domain1) was loading fine.

However, after installing WP on the new domain with a couple of necessary plugins, I beginning to notice both website on domain1 & domain2 have certain loading speed fluctuations.

The loading of domain2 can sometimes take up to 20s to fully load the website.

Even on GTMetrix I get different rating regularly, the rating varies from D - F (which is bad enough).

I'm not sure but it does seem that after installing WP, loading xx.com/webmail, xx.com/cpanel are taking extra time as well.

My question tho is that is WP heavy on resources? Or is my hosting package's resources just not enough to function WP properly?

My host has:
1gb Physical Memory
1gb virtual memory

I’ve lately started to play guitar during MCO. I picked up my fathers guitar however, I noticed that the neck of the guitar seems a little to large for my hands.

I have stubby fingers hence I can’t really wrap my hands around the neck.

I was wondering is there any guitar that has thinner or small necks? Was looking to buy one but I’m not sure how do I search for it on lazada or Shopee.
