Experts, QHD 2560 x 1440 Worth It for 24" Monitor?

Need help from the IT professionals or monitor experts here.

I've checked the Internet on this subject and there is no firm consensus on this matter. Some say 2560 x 1440 QHD is only useful for 27" and larger displays, hence not so useful for 24". They mentioned 1920 x 1080 FHD is already sufficient for 24", don't need to go up to QHD 2560 x 1440.

However, there are some people who thought 2560 x 1440 QHD is not wasted on 24" monitors, saying the clarity and sharpness will be noticeable and better compared to 1920 x 1080 FHD on a similar 24".

Any thoughts? The price difference between the both monitors is about RM300. The displays under consideration is from Dell as below.

Dell 24" Monitor: P2419H - RM769
Dell 24" Monitor: P2421D - RM1,139

27" to 32" VA or IPS for Internet Surfing & Movies

Any recommendation for a 27" to 32" IPS or VA panel for basic internet surfing and movies only?

I saw one Acer EB321HQ 31.5" IPS panel in the price range of RM700 to 800 but most are out of stock. Are there any other alternatives similar price range which gives better clarity and colours?

Poslaju Ampang and 1-300-300-300 Hotline

Can anybody get Poslaju number for 2nd delivery? I called Poslaju Ampang (03-9202 1627) more than 50 times and nobody picked up the call although the number is working. Poslaju hotline 1-300-300-300, there is nobody on the line, the call just cuts off after all the talking. Apparently there is no more customer service for Poslaju? All we can do is fill up the form for complaints and 2nd delivery?

Also, the Poslaju tracking mentioned they already left a Notice for failed delivery. I checked the mailbox, there is nothing inside there. Empty.

McDonald's and Burger King

I don't know if it's post MCO era now or bulan Puasa, perhaps a combination of these 2 that the business of McDonald's is particularly good. Few days ago I went to the Drive - Through of a McDonald's outlet and was shocked to see a long line of cars in the queue where the line had spilled to the main road. I have to drive further away from the McDonald's outlet to join the queue at the back of the line.

Just wondering if you guys prefer burgers from McDonald's or Burger King more. I rarely take fast food but this Samurai beef burger actually tastes rather good. The beef patty of a McDonald's samurai burger is minced and the texture is softer than the meat patty of Burger King. The burgers from Burger King also tastes good but its different in quality from McDonald's. Apart from burgers, one advantage of Burger King over McDonald's is the fries. Burger King has onion rings and cheesy fries while McDonald's only has the normal French fries.

I also noticed that McDonald's now have this Yuzu cream cheese pie which tastes great. Banana chocolate pie also tastes good. Costs RM4+ a piece. Gone are the days when an apple pie only costs RM2 back in the days. It is good that McDonald's now have 3 different pies(they used to have apple pie only back in the days). Haven't tried the apple and Taro pies from Burger King yet and not sure if they are as good as the ones from McDonald's.

Nescafe Gold or UCC Coffee (various types)

Any coffee lover can help me with this. I'm not exactly a coffee lover but am looking to try some higher quality coffee to see if they taste good.

I stopped drinking Nescafe Classic many years ago as it doesn't taste good to me. Too bitter and need to add a lot of sugar to neutralise the bitter taste. I find the Instant Coffee packs from various brands to be more tasty with a more aromatic flavour, especially the white coffee and hazelnut options. However, there are reports that these instant 3 in 1 or 2 in 1 coffee is not too good for health and may destroy the liver on the long run, something like that which does bring some concern.

I've narrowed down to Nescafe Gold and UCC coffee. I haven't tried any of these and just wish to buy 1 bottle to try out. Any recommendation on which tastes best? I know it's all subjective and up to individual taste or preference but do let me know which you prefer the most. I particularly prefer an aromatic milky flavour that is not too bitter. I will mostly add fresh milk and a bit of condensed milk or sugar to the coffee. I rarely take black coffee but may try with sugar if the taste is not so bitter like the terrible Nescafe Classic.

Currently VLT 0% is allowed for rear and rear side windscreens. I wonder what will happen if the new rule reverse it back to VLT 50% or maybe 20%?

Where To Buy Baileys Irish Cream

It has been almost 10 years since I last tried Baileys Irish cream. The last time I bought it from a duty free shop in Thailand. Suddenly thought of the drink and upon checking there is now the Chocolate Luxe flavour.

May I ask where can we get BOTH original and Chocolate Luxe flavour at reasonable prices? It appears that Cold Storage may have Baileys Irish cream but it is only in original and not in Chocolate Luxe.

The Chocolate Luxe bottle looks quite good for decorative if placed on the rack.

Farm Fresh Milk Quality Getting Worse

Has anyone bought Farm Fresh milk 1L or 2L from supermarkets and found that the milk has some weird smell or taste? The taste is like sour or yoghurt-like, just some nasty weird smell.

Last 2-3 years ago the quality of the milk was consistent as it tasted the same whenever opened. Tasted good. Just lately 1 year ago the quality control seems to be getting worse. I have returned the bad milk 3 times. The last time I bought it from Giant supermarket earlier this week and i had to return it as the taste was terribly wrong. The milk tasted like yoghurt. The expiry date was still new, more than 2 weeks to go.

The worst thing is I called the hotline number printed on the Farm Fresh bottle more than 10 times and nobody picks up the call. Unlike Dutch Lady the customer service is superb as any complaint they will send a representative to your house and deliver packets of milk as replacement for bad ones. With Farm Fresh, nobody picks up my call so I went to the Giant Supermarket to get a money refund.

Terrible. My last business with Farm Fresh. Anybody experienced the same?

Aukey vs LDINIO Wall Plug USB Charger For Phone

I'm looking at these 2 chargers for my phone. Apart from the spec, will there be a difference in charging speed because the price difference seems to be rather big.

This Aukey model costs RM89

This LDINIO costs RM28 only which is 3 times cheaper.

Both support Qualcomm although the Aukey is on 2.0 while the LDINIO is on 3.0. Theoretically the LDINIO charging speed should be quicker right since it is Qualcomm 3.0?

New Rules for Tinted Car Windows - More Lenient

Currently it's VLT 70% for the front windshield, 50% for the front-side windows, and 30% for the rear side windows and rear windshield.

Fibre Broadband-Why No Cheaper Plan + Slower Speed

I was looking at the various fibre broadband options and wonder why there isn't any cheaper plan which comes with lower or slower speed. That's because not everyone wants high speed up to 100Mbps or more.

Just this morning I saw this TIME advert on The Sun paper.

It appears that Maxis and Unifi have plans with the lowest rate (RM79 for 30 Mbps).

RM99 @ 100 Mbps
RM139 @ 500 Mbps
1Gbps @ 1Gbps

Just 3 questions for Broadband or IT experts:-

1. Is Unifi or Maxis offering the same plan? Technically are they the same plan with same hardware or fibre cables, whatever the terms they call it because I noticed the price and speed are the same?

2. Are there any cheaper plans that I have missed?

3. Is it possible to have cheaper plans at lower speeds of say 20 Mbps or even 10 Mbps? Or another way to put it is why service providers aren't offering plans with lower speeds? That's because not everyone wants speeds up to 100 Mbps.

Anybody from Hotlink switched to Ookyo?

Someone just recommended this Ookyo and apparently this plan is much better than Hotlink on paper.

Has anybody switched from Hotlink to this Ookyo? I am seriously thinking of switching by today as I find the 1 hour Happy Hour rubbish with Hotlink is useless and the main reason I need to switch to something else.

Laws For Hogger At Parking Bay, Woman Standing

School holiday period. Read this news early this morning. It's not that I see this happen quite often but I was just wondering if there is a law on such petty things. Say you are looking for a parking to park your car and after you have finally found an empty parking space you see this woman (or man) standing in the empty slot like this photo below to book it, if there is a law on such things, who has the right to claim that parking? The woman who is standing on the empty parking, or the motorist inside the car who is just waiting to drive his car into the slot?

The article to the news here whereby the lady has lodged a police report fearing for her safety after getting into a small argument with the motorist who wanted the parking.
