[WTS ]Modafinil Modalert (generic of Provigil)

MODALERT 200MG (also known as Modafinil)

I bought this medication when I learnt that quite a large percentage of students at Caltech, Cambridge, Harvard, etc took this to help them burn the midnight oil. I was very behind in my study. It also seemed like a long-term solution for some days when I'm sleepy at work.

This is an anti-narcolepsy medicine, which is 'abused' by normal people to perform more productively by sleeping less and not feeling too sleepy to handle tasks they need to perform. I'm selling the excess that I bought.

PRICE: Sold

Delivery only, no COD please.[attachmentid=3343815]

To directors of welfare homes/centres

I have played an infrequent part in charity, most likely I donate money or buy fair coupons. I gave RM600 when I found my second job, it was in thanks to my joy at getting a new job. I think that was my biggest one-time donation ever. I'm planning to change jobs again, who will be my next lucky recipient?

Anyway, I am ever always keen to do my part for the underprivileged. But some fund-raising events just don't tune in to my needs. I cannot buy a handicraft that is rather simply made just in the name of charity. There are many websites available that teach how to make exquisitely beautiful handicraft from recycled materials, your resources are endless. Take a look at a few of them:
Recycled craft paper
Craft from plastic bags
Cardboard furniture

Can we integrate our resources to develop employable skills in the people at these homes? I believe whether they are mentally or physically handicapped, able but orphaned/abused, they want to find their self worth. First off, the Eden Handicap Service Centre is one such agency doing a very commendable job developing employable skills in their people.

Let me list down the things their people offer:
1) IT services - business card design, t-shirt design, invitation cards design, etc
2) Domestic/Industrial cleaning services - doing housekeeping services and paid per hour.
3) Recycling services

These are some other ideas I have:
1) The blind can have superb voices. Train them to be masters of ceremonies at weddings, parties, events. This wedding business is lucrative, I kid you not. And it's easy - the routine is invariably the same.
Also, train them to be radio deejays.
2) Handicraft work - work for people who decorate a ballroom for events. Don't ask for a high fee, but do pick up your skills. This could be flower arrangement, ribbon-work, chair sashes, etc.
3) Sewing - learn nyonya beadwork and nyonya kebaya from an experienced seamstress or from an online resource.
4) Performance - offer a performance of piano, classical musical instruments, dance or singing (for a truly talented singer only) at events such as weddings again.
5) Go to Job Enlistments page and find some jobs that can be done by your people.
6) Lawn-mowing/ weedkiller service

Let people do what they have interest in. Don't force them into handicraft just because it will feed them. Let people do what they are good at, and develop them further. Allow them to pursue various interests.

Social welfare compensation

I've read that a home of 46 persons (adults and children) can cost RM20K per month, and a home of 80 persons can cost RM10K per month. I wonder how they could spend that much. Are the staff paid or are they volunteers? Can they bring down their cost? Even I am tightening my pockets by taking less branded confectioneries and necessity food items from hypermarkets.

Besides, does each home get a monthly allowance from government agencies?

I have heard rumours before that eligible hardcore poor or handicapped persons can get a lot of welfare aid from government bodies. They can earn more than RM3K per month on aid alone. This is a lot, have the people at these homes tried to get this aid yet - it would help them greatly. I am not against eligible people getting welfare, but let the welfare aid be distributed evenly among all these needy people.

To the bumi people who earn welfare aid, teach them to save it in ASB to cover their life expenses. Please, to the homes, create awareness programmes of how they can save and earn their money.

Anyway back to the point of this thread, please share how much of welfare aid a body gets, and how much welfare aid an eligible individual gets. I have always wanted to know.

Want to tutor underprivileged kids

I am looking for orphan children to tutor around the Penang FTZ area. Most charity homes are in Georgetown which is too far for me. There seems to be only one charity home in Permatang Damar Laut - Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya - that is in this area.

My concern about giving charity here is that I want to communicate only in English. I cannot speak BM fluently as I've given up on the language.

I wonder if there are any other homes/centres that I could help to give tutelage?

Searching for blog publicized by thestar.com.my

Hi LYNBloggers,

I am looking for a blog that was published in The Star Online about a mother who blogs about turning garbage into beautiful craft pieces. I later visited her blog and was impressed by her thousands of suggestions on how to make useful stuff out of garbage. Now I can't remember the blog URL because I didn't book mark it.

Some of the most memorable articles in her blog were:
1. Using plastic bags and weaving them into a bag. She had a photo of a basketball sitting in one of those bags.
2. Her tip about not washing the wok after heating up leftovers, instead she puts some rice into the wok, adds water and lets the rice soak up the gravy.
3. She has a business making necklace craft.

Can anyone help me find this blog - I want to link to it as well as learn from her again. Thanks!!
