The only option for DHCP is the specification of the lease range. The router sends out its own IP address as the gateway, without option to specify another IP address.<br /><br />I use a different box that works as the gateway and have DHCP enabled. The problem is that the netgear router does not pass on the DHCP request to that box and therefore wireless clients can&#39;t get a DHCP lease. It only works for clients connected directly to the switch. At this moment, all wireless clients needs a fixed IP, not very convenient for roaming systems.<br /><br />Is there any WiFi routers out there that has the option to provide a different IP address for the gateway and DNS when giving out a DHCP lease? timothyc Networks and Broadband Tue, 05 Sep 2006 00:04:05 +0800
