Car dealer cancel agreement

Hi,

Here are the situation:
1. Planning to buy a new car, while trade-in my car
2. Used car dealer see the car (no test drive)and tell the trade-in value.
3. Sign bill of sales on the agreed value, give thumbprint n geran.
4. Next day, dealer come to get car but back out after test drive.

My questions:
1. How to cancel the thumbprint?
To avoid future problem, and also I can give to other used car dealer
2. Can the used car dealer change ownership since he has the thumbprint?
Original geran is with me. Don't know if he make a copy.
3. Should I make a police report, inform my bank?
4. Will there be a problem to change ownership later?
