Min. Property Price for Foreigners

Was advised by a sales guy that apartments/condos under commercial title in popular areas (PJ) in Selangor has minimum price restriction of rm 3m for foreigners. This has been effective since Sept 2014. This will have adverse effect for Service apartments. Apparently KL has restriction of only rm 2m. Is this true? Jialat for investors holding service apartments if foreigners are excluded from market especially those in the rm 1m to 2.9m range.

Possible curb on property speculation

Coupled with discounts, DIBS is possibly the single biggest incentive for buyers to commit themselves. If DIBS is indeed banned, it is obvious that new property transactions will be adversely affected. On the other-hand, what effect will this have on the currently laggard secondary market?
