NVME M.2 Enclosure

Hello Everyone.

I have a Samsung PM961 256GB SSD pulled from my laptop. I want to use it as an external ssd and was looking at enclosures on ebay but not sure if it'll work since its NVME.

I have found a couple though.

NVME Enclosure 1

NVME Enclosure 2

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these two enclosure and that if it does really work on NVME SSD. It does say that it only support M Key and NVME Protocol but there's not much info I can find regarding NVME External Enclosure for M.2 SSD.

Please help.

Full EPF withdrawal without Renouncing Citizenship

Hello,

I was wondering if there's any way to withdraw Full EPF without renouncing citizenship as I managed to secure a job out of Malaysia. The extra cash can help me greatly to settle down in a new country.

Been reading up on the EPF website and it seems no other way other than renouncing citizenship. Just asking here hoping if anyone knows any other way. Haven't called EPF yet though.

The company I'll be working for has their own version of EPF, 12% employer contribution (15% after 10years) + 5% employee contribution + additional contribution with yearly dividends based on company performance. Can withdraw full amount + dividends accumulated after 7 year service. So, I'm not too worried about retirement savings.

I know a colleague personally who brought back to Malaysia RM400K++ after 7 years in that company. Granted he didn't disturb his EPF in Malaysia. I myself been working 7 years in Malaysia only managed to accumulate not more than RM300k in EPF.

So yeah, anyway to withdraw EPF for use overseas. I don't want to renounce my citizenship.

[WTA] Tiles delivery and unloading charges

Hello all...

I just took delivery for a truck load of tiles. I had to pay almost rm300 for delivery charges from Port Klang to Cyberjaya. When it arrive at my house, there was only the driver. The driver said his job was to deliver only! He didnt even bring anybody or any equipment to unload.

My contractor workers had to do the unloading by hand. 40kg per carton and there were almost 70 cartons.

So is this normal when you buy tiles. Pay for delivery but not included unloading?

I honestly cant see the logic of paying for delivery but not having the tiles unload as part of the payment.

Needless to say my contractor wasnt too happy about it. Even I wasnt happy as the company I bought from didnt mention anything regarding unloading. I simply assumed they would unload it themselves.
Lighting Problem

Hello all!

I have a problem with the lighting in my Living Room and Master Bedroom. Basically, my electrician tells me that the circuit in both rooms are meant for dimmable lights. 4 dimmable switches, 100%, 80%, 50% and off. So now I already installed a normal LED Downlight and it flickers when on or off (100% switch = On, Off switch = off la, 80% and 50% switch just makes it flicker).

My electrician says got 2 options:

Option 1: Change to Halogen Downlight.

Option 2: Remain with LED downlight but have to rewire entire living room and master bedroom and put new switches. The 4 dimmable switches will be useless.

Both options also not that nice for me. I want to maintain using the 4 dimmable switches and still use LED. So must find dimmable LED downlight.

So here I am, asking everyone if anyone knows where I can find dimmable LED downlight, preferable square ones.

Thanks!

Hello!

My new house is nearing completion. I'm wondering how to take a loan for renovation and furnishing my new house and using my old house as collateral. Old house is financially settled.

Do I take up normal personal loan ( and see if the bank can use house as collateral and maybe get better rates) or is there another way (normal home loan).

I'm willing to take personal loan but if there's better way (and rates), please share

Thanks for the help.
