Hi all,

Yesterday night, when I was waiting in front of a red light, tiba-tiba a motobike collided into my rear bumper, and the bumper crack and fell off, and I've already made police report.

My question is, is it 100% that I can't claim his insurance? And if I claim my own insurance, will I lose my NCD?
I'm going to service centre to quote tomorrow...Please help

Thank you.

Best mid-range WP phone?

Hi all,

I've already had a HTC Butterfly S, which is my primary phone.
I'd like to separate my working phone with my private phone (clients calling 24/7 is annoying lol), and since I already have an Android flagship, I'm looking for a mid-range WP phone.

I use bluetooth calls and gps a lot, and I prefer a screen size smaller than 5 inches, I expect a good battery life (spoilt by my Butterfly S' 3200 mAh lol)and best priced below RM1000.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!!

Adding an SSD

Hi all,

I hope that I'm asking in the right thread.

I'm currently having a ASUS G53SW, and it is running out of storage space very soon.
So, I'm thinking of adding another SSD into it (my laptop has two HDD bays I think).

My question is, is it possible to "transfer" my Windows 7 OS into the new SSD?
As such, if I were to boot from my SSD, while leaving all my files in the old HDD, will the programs still work?

I'm not sure if there's any better setup; I'm just thinking of putting in an extra SSD for better booting performance, and add a lil space for my laptop.

Thanks!

Substitute for SD Cards

Hi all,

I'm looking for a new Android phone.
I'm really attracted to the HTC One, however, the absence of SD card option is a huge turn off for me.

I need SD cards on my phone for several reasons:
1. I can't afford to lose my data, if there's an unfortunate event which my phone is broken (which seems quite easy to happen these days). I have important data that I'm carrying around with me all day, and I need to remove the data immediately if anything happen to my phone as they are very frequently used. I can't leave the data stuck in the phone and in the service centre.

2. I travel to places with bad internet coverage, and my data has large sizes, therefore cloud services isn't suitable for me.

3. Data in SD cards is easily transferable, I could just insert my card into any other device, and it can be read or stored; however this is not a main concern as I know that phones can be used as USB storage.

In such situation, is there any alternative to SD cards, where internal storage is not preferable, and cloud service is not available?

Thank you.

Unable to detect resolution

Hi,

I've just built a new computer with the following specs:

Proc: Intel Core i5-2310
Mobo: Intel DH67CL
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit OEM version
ASUS ENGT520
4GB RAM

1. I could not install the Intel HD Graphics driver, the installer shows error that says my coumputer does not meet the requirement for setup.
2. My monitor resolution is 1366x768, however the highest I can see in settings (Personalization) is 1360x768, and when I go to the NVIDIA Control Panel to create a custom resolution of 1366x768 px, it says 'custom resolution is not supported by your display (32-bit).

I have already updated the ASUS graphic card driver, and it gives me flickers, so I rolled it back.

So what's the problem and how can I resolve it?

Is the C: drive called OS(C:) 116GB and D: drive called Data(D:) 327GB?
2. If it is, shall C: be the 'recovery drive' while D: be the 'local disk'?

3. If not, what should be the original configuration?

Thank you!

HTC Sues Apple for Patent Infringement

Seattle – May 12, 2010 – HTC Corporation today took legal action against Apple Inc., filing a complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) to halt the importation and sale of the iPhone, iPad and iPod in the United States.

“As the innovator of the original Windows Mobile PocketPC Phone Edition in 2002 and the first Android smartphone in 2008, HTC believes the industry should be driven by healthy competition and innovation that offer consumers the best, most accessible mobile experiences possible,” said Jason Mackenzie, vice president of North America, HTC Corporation. “We are taking this action against Apple to protect our intellectual property, our industry partners, and most importantly our customers that use HTC phones.”

HTC’s commitment to innovation has continued for more than a decade as it has focused on building a portfolio of the world’s most advanced smartphones that are inspired by consumers and provide them with a variety of choices in software, design, form-factor, price and wireless carrier. Today, consumers in the United States can choose between 12 HTC smartphones with the national wireless carriers. HTC has continuously strived to bring innovative smartphone choices to consumers, like the recently unveiled HTC EVO 4G with Sprint, DROID Incredible by HTC with Verizon Wireless and the HTC HD2 with T-Mobile.
