Today I'll be reviewing the Edifier S360DB 2.1 speaker system which is released in 2018. It is the successor of the Edifier S350DB. So what are the differences between the S350DB and S360DB? The Edifier S360DB aka S301 implements a planar tweeter, slightly larger midrange woofer and a wireless subwoofer similarly to Edifier Eclipse e235 which I have reviewed previously. The audio connectivities are now located at the active satellite speaker rather than on the subwoofer. The price of this product is approximately 406 USD, 26000 RUB, 1699 MYR, 1859 RMB depending on the location it is sold.

Note: The Edifier S360DB setup with HiMedia Q10 Pro and Dell U2515H monitor. The box is placed below the subwoofer to get it into the picture better! It does not distort the sound quality.

Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing SonicGear KBX900 boombox speaker from SonicGear! It's a bluetooth portable speaker with RGB lighting effect which offers ample of audio source connectivity ranging from TF Card, USB, AUX Line-in, FM Radio and Bluetooth! However, the main highlight of this speaker is has True Wireless Stereo (TWS) which allows it to pair with another speaker with TWS capability to play stereo audio! In addition, this speaker provides karaoke functionality too so you can use it to sing along with a music track. The price of this product is MYR 219 but you can get it at a good price during promotions at Leapfroglobal Official Store at Shopee.

In addition, the mouse has a slim body that allows you to grasp it more comfortably for long hour usage.

In addition, it highlights the 4 primary features which are USB wired keyboard and mouse (so no worries about replacing batteries), 1200 CPI Optical Mouse, slim and low profile key caps which gives the feel of a regular laptop keyboard and UV coated keycaps to prevent the keypad lettering from fading quickly.

Packaging-2: The rear of the packaging highlights the features and technical specifications of the product, along with a brief description of the company Alcatroz.

Design

Design-1: Here is a overview of the Jellybean keyboard layout. The dedicated buttons such as "Home", "End", "Page Up", "Page Down", "Print Screen", "Scroll Lock" and "Pause" are removed from the keyboard to allow smaller width keyboard. The "Insert" and "Delete" buttons are repositioned to the top, while the removed buttons are replaced by pressing the Numlock and then Fn (Function) Key and the Numpad on the right to enable the "Home", "End", "Page Up" and "Page Down" and "Delete". Only the "Print Screen", "Scroll Lock" and "Pause" buttons are not replaced.

Design-2: A closer look at the keyboard from the side reveals that these rounded buttons are flat and non-concave. The body structure of the keyboard does not have any sharp edges.

Design-3: Here is the bottom view of the keyboard. It does not have any legs to lift the keyboard up at a higher angle. However, it has this slight bump at the top to slightly tilt the keyboard facing the user so they can view the keys easily.

Design-4: The anti-slip pads are small and rounded in shape to prevent the keyboard from moving around on slippery surface.

Design-5: This is the Jellybean U2000 mouse. The body shape has a slight curve inwards at the mid section of the mouse.

Design-6: Both the right and left side of the mouse does not have any macro-able buttons. In addition, this mouse can be used by both left-handed and right-handed users (ambidextrous mouse) as both sides of the mouse are shaped symetrically.

Design-7: Here is both the top and bottom view of the Jellybean U2000 optical mouse. The botttom mouse padding is large and allows the mouse to be moved smoothly on desktop.

Verdict

Pros
1. Keyboard width is slightly smaller as dedicated buttons have been removed which allows the mouse to be positioned closer to the user.
2. This combo pricing comes with both a mouse and keyboard which is essential for both computer usages.
3. Lightweight and portable keyboard and mouse.
4. The mouse switches is responsive and the shape of it is comfortable to use.

Cons
1. The keyboard does not have any legs so tilt the keyboard higher.
2. Lacks of spacing between the F1~F12 keys which makes it difficult to feel the group of keys.
3. The keyboard key caps are not concave which makes it slightly difficult to keep fingers in position as a touch typist.
4. Does not come with any multimedia shortcut keys (e.g. Mute/Play/Pause Music, Calculator).

Observations
1. The cable hardwired from the keyboard is not centered and it may be some inconveniences arranging the cables.
2. Keyboard button layout slightly different than traditional keyboards which may require some time getting use to it.

Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing a mini speaker from SonicGear which is the SONICUBE. It's a lightweight speaker which is powered via USB interface such as power banks or laptop and uses 3.5mm audio jack for audio input. This speaker can be used as an inexpensive alternative to play audio louder in scenarios where your device couldn't output loud audio.

Specifications
1. Total ouitput power RMS: 6 watts
2. Total built-in driver: 2 x 2"
3. Driver impedance: 4 Ohms
4. Frequency Response: 100Hz ~ 20KHz
5. Signal to Noise Ratio: >=75dB
6. Input power: USB 5V, 1000mA

Packaging-2: On the side of the speaker lists the technical specifications of the speaker.

Design

Design-1: Both speakers are placed on the flatten corner so it looks slightly special.

Design-2: From the rear, you can see that the bottom of the speaker is flatten to allow it to sit on those corners.

Design-3: The USB is used to power up the speaker while the 3.5mm audio jack is to stream the audio signal from the audio source to the speaker.

Verdict

Pros
1. Inexpensive and lightweight speaker.

Cons
1. The speaker sound will be distorted when the volume is set above 20% or playing heavy bass music.

Observations
1. Outputs white noise when there is no audio signal from audio source or when not connected to audio device.
2. Could not stream music from audio source via USB, will need to rely on the 3.5mm audio jack.
3. The audio cable is slightly messy. It can be enhanced by having 1 cable from passive speaker to the active speaker and have 1 cable housing both USB and 3.5mm audio cable.

Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing Alcatroz Bluetooth 3.0 Wireless keyboard Xplorer Go! 300BT Bluetooth keyboard. It's a portable lightweight keyboard that you can bring along your travel trips to use it with your tablet or smartphone for work purposes. This allows user such as touch-typist to use all fingers to type to feel less tiring then using 2 fingers. Furthermore, using a physical keyboard frees up the tablet/smartphone screen since there is no need for a touchscreen keyboard. Before diving into the review, let's view the specifications and feature that this product has to offer.

Note: The Alcatroz Xplorer GO! 300BT Bluetooth Keyboard offers 2 models: black and white. The difference between Xplorer GO! 100BT and 300BT is that 300BT does not have toggle on/off button located at the bottom and to activate Bluetooth connectivity is done by pressing the keyboard buttons rather than a physical dedicated button like the one found on 100BT.

Design

Design-1: The keyboard uses similar layout as a laptop keyboard. Low-profile quiet non-tactile keys. Each keys have UV coated symbols glued on its surface rather than having laser etched to it. This keyboard offers multimedia shortcut functionality, which can be accessed by pressing the Fn (Function Key) and with the highlighted blue symbols. This allows user to conveniently access multimedia shortcuts such as play/pause or skip to a different music track, modify the volume settings or mute and etc. To enter pairing mode, press and hold Function Key and C and the LED indicator will flash blue for 2 to 3 seconds and after that its is ready to pair.

Design-2: The top right corner has an opening which you can insert 2 AAA batteries. The serial number of the product is located on the bottom as well. There are 4 rubberized mini-feet that prevents the keyboard from slipping.

Verdict

Pros
1. Quiet and non-tactile. Does not irritate your colleague with keyboard noise.
2. Lightweight and portable. Easily fit in tight space in travelling bags.
3. Has a long connectivity range up to 10 meters when there aren’t any obstructions between the connected devices.
4. Automatically goes into standby-mode if left unused for 10 minutes to conserve battery. Can activate it again from standby-mode by pressing any button.
5. Provides media access keys as shortcuts to activate these softwares conveniently.

Cons
1. Lacks of sufficient gap between the Function Keys, Number Keys and Alphabet Keys, which makes it difficult for user to identify the key position.

Mediocre
1. No built-in rechargeable battery. The keyboard relies on AAA batteries to power up this device. This may cause inconveniences having to replace batteries when they are drained.
2. Keyboard structure is not quite solid. Typing on keyboard button hard will feel the keyboard flex a little which may not be a good experience for some users.
3. The gaps between each button for the alphabets and other symbols is slightly narrow which can lead to accidentally pressing the incorrect buttons.
4. The keyboard buttons are not concaved, which makes it difficult for touch typist to position their fingers correctly.

Design

Design-1: Here is an overview of the top of the keyboard. All keyboard buttons are backlight-lit enable. You can turn them off if you are not keen with the RGB theme.

Design-2: On the rear of the keyboard, there are a list of instructions on how to change the lighting effects, customzing the backlight brightness and function keys to as a shortcut to media (adjusting volume, play-pause music tracks, calculator). Also, there is a product serial number at the back of the keyboard for warranty purposes.

Design-3: Use the provided keycap puller to pull out the keycap to reveal the mechanical switch and then use the tweezer to remove the mechanical switch. Use 1 hand to hold the keyboard down while the other hand on the tweezers to pull it out. It will take some force pulling out the mechanical switch compared to the keycaps.

Design-4: Here is a closer look at the LED lights without the mechanical switch, without the keycap and with the keycap on.

Verdict

Pros
1. Solid build quality keyboard. Does not have any component rattling inside when keyboard is shaken.
2. Very comfortable to type on with the concave keycaps as a touch typist.
3. Has a wide variety of RGB lighting effects and backlight customizability that can pair with your current gaming setup.
4. Allows gamers to program certain keys on keyboard for gaming conveniences.
5. Enable users to swap different mechanical switches for certain keys to suit their preferences.
6. Has ultra-durable keycaps that does not fade after a prolong usage of typing/gaming.

Cons
1. Noisy. Not recommended to be used in office unless you have your own personal room or closed cubicle.

Observation
1. The gap between the Function Keys and the Number Keys is minimized.
2. OUTEMU blue mechanical switches has slightly more resistance compared to Gateron blue mechcanical switches.

Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing Alcatroz Xplorer GO! 100 BT Bluetooth Keyboard which is released around June 2018. It's a lightweight portable wireless keyboard that can connect to Windows, Android and iOS devices. With this keyboard paired to your smart devices, it frees up screen estate that is taken up by the screen keyboard so you can view more content and allows typing your input much quickly. Although it doesn't provide docking feature like Xplorer Dock 1 and Xplorer Dock 2, it is twice lighter in weight. Before diving into the review, let's view the product features and specifications.

Note: The Alcatrox Xplorer GO! 100 BT Bluetooth Keyboard has 2 models: Black and White (the one I'm reviewing). What's the difference between this 100BT and 300BT? Both shares the same feature, but the 100BT has the on/off button and Bluetooth pairing button located at the bottom.

Packaging-1: The front of the packaging displays a picture of the keyboard and also highlights 3 key features: it utilizes Bluetooth 3.0 to connect to devices wirelessly, the buttons can last up to 5 million keystrokes and it's design is ultra-slim which only takes up a small space in your bag.

Packaging-2: The rear of the packaging lists the specifications, features and package contents. It comes with 2 years warranty.

Design

Design-1: The keyboard uses similar layout as a laptop keyboard. Low-profile quiet non-tactile keys. Each keys have symbols stickied on its surface rather than having laser etched to it. This keyboard offers multimedia shortcut functionality, which can be accessed by pressing the Fn (Function Key) and with the highlighted blue symbols. This allows user to conveniently play/pause or skip to a different music track, modify the volume settings or mute and etc. There is a LED indicator at the top right which lights up for 1 second when you turn on the keyboard. When you activate the Bluetooth, the LED will start blinking to indicate is ready for pairing.

Design-2: The bottom have a switch to turn on/off the keyboard. Press the "Connect" button to enable the keyboard to pair with your devices. You will need to search the "Xplorer GO! 100BT" by performing a Bluetooth scan in yor smartphone/tablet to pair with it. The top right corner has an opening which you can place 2 AAA batteries. The serial number of the product is located on the bottom as well. There are 4 rubberized mini-feet that prevents the keyboard from slipping.

Verdict

Pros
1. Quiet and non-tactile. Does not irritate your colleague with keyboard noise.
2. Lightweight and portable. Easily fit in tight space in travelling bags.
3. Has a long connectivity range up to 10 meters when there aren’t any obstructions between the connected devices.
4. Automatically goes into standby-mode if left unused for 10 minutes to conserve battery. Can activate it again from standby-mode by pressing any button.
5. Provides media access keys as shortcuts to activate these softwares conveniently.

Cons
1. Lacks of sufficient gap between the Function Keys, Number Keys and Alphabet Keys, which makes it difficult for user to identify the key position.

Mediocre
1. The keyboard relies on AAA batteries to power up this device. This may cause inconveniences having to replace batteries when they are drained.
2. Typing on keyboard button hard will feel the keyboard flex a little which may not be a good experience for some users.
3. The gaps between each button for the alphabets and other symbols is slightly narrow which can lead to accidentally pressing the incorrect buttons.
4. The keyboard buttons are not concaved, which makes it slightly difficult for touch typist to position their fingers correctly.

Design

Design-1: The keyboard itself uses the same laptop keyboard layout. The difference between this keyboard and laptop keyboard is the gap between each keyboard buttons. I find it slightly narrow on the Xplorer Dock 2 BT keyboard as the buttons here is slightly larger. As a touch typist, I can type on this pretty quickly and fairly easily without making much mistakes. My only gripe is that is difficult to reposition the fingers by feeling the buttons and the gaps between them. The keyboard also provides a function key that allows user to access multimedia shortcut keys (e.g. play/pause/mute/skip/previous music track, increase-decrease volume and etc.) It includes a toggle button to turn keyboard on/off and switch between 2 Bluetooth devices.

Design-2: The bottom of the keyboard displays the serial number which is used for the warranty purposes. In addition, it has 4 mini rubberized feets that prevents the keyboard from slipping.

Verdict

Pros
1. Ample width and depth for the docking. Allows placement of a large tablet and a phone too.
2. Solid keyboard and slightly heavy at 610 grams. The weight is needed so it can dock large tablet in portrait or landscape orientation without losing its balance.
3. Very comfortable to type on, the feel is similar to a laptop keyboard.
4. Quiet and non-tactile. Does not irritate your colleague with keyboard noise.
5. Has a built-in battery that can be recharged via micro-USB cable. No worries about leaking batteries.
6. Automatically goes into standby-mode if left unused for 10 minutes to conserve battery. Can activate it again from standby-mode by pressing any button.

1. The gaps between each button for the alphabets and other symbols is slightly narrow which can lead to accidentally pressing the incorrect buttons.
2. The keyboard buttons are not concaved, which makes it difficult for touch typist to position their fingers correctly.
3. The keyboard is not backlit capable. Therefore, you may have difficulty using it in a dark room unless your dock devices screen can provide sufficient lighting.
4. Keyboard layout feels a little more cramp compared to Xplorer Dock 1 with the addition of the multi-touch trackpad.

Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing Armaggeddon Grumman Raven-III. It's a gaming mouse equipped with an optical sensor that can reached up to 4800 CPI (Counts Per Inch). In addition, it uses HUANO switches for extra durability while the cable is braided and has 16.8 million colour programmable RGB Lights that can be customized through the software provided on Armaggeddon website in the "Software Drivers" section. Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing the Armaggeddon Pulse 7 Gaming Headset 2018. This headset focusses on strong bass lines and clear audio which is great for gaming, movie and music. It's name is inspired by EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse Bombs). There are 2 models for this headset: All Black theme with either Soviet and Alliance logo on the sides and "Special Edition" headset that comes in white-brown theme. Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing Armaggeddon Puma III Speaker. It's a large portable Bluetooth speaker with 2 passive radiators on its sides and 2 speaker drivers on the front. Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing the Edifier R1280DB Bookshelf speaker. It's the successor of the Edifier R1280T. What are the differences between these 2 speakers? The Edifier R1280DB offers more audio input variety which includes Bluetooth, Optical, and Coaxial Connection and a redesigned remote with new features! Hi guys! Today I'll be reviewing the SonicGear SPACE Series Speaker. SonicGear is an audio brand renowned in Singapore for its affordable headphones and speakers. There are 3 models offered in the SPACE Series which are S3, S5 and S7. One of the highlights of these SPACE 2.1 speaker system is designing compact subwoofer that can be place on places that has little space such as desk.
