Hi,

Just wondering, can anybody give me advice on what kind of questions do they ask for interviews? . I already got accepted into an Australian university and i already chose my accommodation which is on campus. After a few days they e-mailed me that they would like to do a phone interview with me which will last like 20-30 minute. Basically i never heard of an interview for an accommodation while 30 minute is kinda pushing it. Anyone ever done it before and can give me some advice to prepare on? Is it something where they record you agreeing the terms and conditions so you ain't a shady character or something? They even ask your past achievements, sports, contribution and stuff while registering online for the accommodation

Heard of university application or job interview but i never heard of an accommodation interview before lolz

Help With Old PS3

1) Put in disc ( Tried like 6 games + 1 ori bluray movie)
2) Wait 1 minute disc cant read. Restart and repeat still same problem
I tried restore default setting and the method where we hold the home button until got double beep and select restore file system (In game file pops up a corrupted file, i deleted it but still can't read disc)
3) Right as we speak, im trying out a final resort by restoring the entire PS3 system.
Any other advice guys?

If it doesn't work i am Considering putting my PS3 out to pasture if it doesn't fix... RIP Its the Phat version that i got as a bundle while buying a plasma tv when it just released (2007-2014).

[WTA] HTC One can't charge

Hi guys title says it all.. I bought a htc one from a retailer still sealed so I know it's original. But when I get home I plugged in the phone to the wall charger and it's not charging. I checked the net and many ppl actually are facing the same problem. I already tried hard reset to no avail.. Anyone can help me plz still under warranty and will send it back as last resort but wanna see maybe I did something wrong

Hi guys i got offers to further my studies after finishing A levels for RMIT, Monash, Queensland and UNSW in Australia for undergraduate Honours for Mechanical Engineering. Kinda in a bind and wanted to ask lowyatians for advice

on which is better in terms of course structure/program offered, campus grounds/location, standard/cost of living??

Any advice is greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

Hey gonna start applying for university in Australia (engineering) rmit monash etc. do you need to take ielts?? Heard that we can use our subject 1119 English which is supposedly marked and grade separately in olevel standard in our spm cert. Thanks guys

Dont really have any love for my miniscule amount of trophies. But is it possible to transfer save data from my old user account to my new one for vita? If just say i format and change my user account for vita, will my save files be intact in memory card or lost?

UK/Aus Application Questions

Many questions to ask, regretted to miss the university open day so i come here to ask local forumers for guidance

1: Is forecast result really important? I taking A levels currently and my trials is like 3 weeks from now. 2 weeks after that only trials result release then only can get forecast. I can get My Actual AS result earlier, during raya if not mistaken. Im not applying for Cambridge . Is it possible to get conditional offer using my AS result? Cause my A2 result only confirm release at 2014 while dateline for application in UK is Jan 15 2014.

Ppl wait for Forecast grade cause want to apply for top unis like cambridge which needs their application earlier. so if i can get my Actual AS first can use to apply?

BTW any difference applying through college and uni placement centre? Got like 1 row full of reputable uni placement centres.

2. How do you apply for uni? I know you need to fill application form as well as personal statement but do we need to photostat just say our AS cert for results or something? or apply online?

Hi guys need help with my dell n5010 again. I hve problem with my bluetoother headphones. I can pair with my laptobut I get error for Bluetooth peripheral device. When I use got no sound coming out of the headphone but from the laptops.
Using a parrot zik headphoneand it worked well with my iPod and android phone.. All help is appreciated thanks

Problem With Dell Charging

I got this problem about few months ago. Normally i wouldn't care but whenever i run a program or games, it will lag real terribly even closing the program was hard.
When i plug in my adapter games will run smoothly but when its running in battery mode it starts lagging badly. Now i got this "Plug in but not charging problem"

After changing the adapter (already checked the Current etc) since i got 1 for free it worked fine again for a month or so until it happened again.
I even tried taking out the battery and left it running just through the adapter but it still lags badly. Only runs smooth when charging with battery for some reason

Any ways in fixing this lag? laptop:Dell Inpiron N5010
One more question is this the adapter fault or the battery. Battery and laptop bout 4 years old already. Any help is appreciated

Hi, was just wondering i am going to apply for university soon and my A2 trials result is already out in the taylors portal under academic tab
How do i get my forecast and whats the procedure or necessary steps needed to be taken?

Do i go to the programme office and ask for 1? or from lecturer??

Plus the forecast result is in what form? Is it printed all into a piece of paper or they just tell you the results? Do i just go to my mentor to get or do i need to approach every single subject teacher

1 more question is the Forecast result an upgraded version of your actual results or the same?
If its the same do i just go to the portals and print the academic results from my academic result tab?

Beware of William Driving Agency

Hi, Don't know where to start.

Reason i open this thread is to warn other forumers to beware form trying out this agency..
They got a few in Damansara SUbang Jaya and Sunway

Firstly, they always unorganized, when i take my 5 hour ceramah, they told us to wait at their office at 7.30am, The bus only come at 9am
Second, to go to JPJ at Jalan Ipoh, they took almost 2 hours to reach there, for some reason they waited at damansara for an hour or so.
Thirdly after taking my written test, they left us there no transport.. We need to call like 5 times only 2 hours later they pick us up

That one i did not complain. After that my driving class, waa the instructor name Mr Chan super pro wei.. always on that day itself he spam call me 12 times ask whether i want class now (9 am) when i reserved class at 12.30 pm (Happened twice out of three times) at his fancy so he can finish work earlier (on the paper sheet he wrote and sign i had class with him on 12.30 instead of 9 am to show that he follow the time when he did not ). The third time he took leave last minute on that day also call me to cancel WTF!!!

Normally you have the choice to ask the instructor to pick us up from our house. Waa today was the last straw he call me 15 times from 8am-9.20am (was sleeping) when my class at 9.30am. HE did not even come to my house he say he called to confirm whether i coming for class or not. So i picked up the call at 9.20 he say why i never pick up he already go back to the office when he did not even ring my house bell and it wasn't time yet. Started ranting to me on why i never come for class zzzz

SO last straw la my parents call the agency straight and complain, the person in charge there postpone the class for me on 11am. Like that gaotim but 5 min later that Mr CHan got the b***s to call me and started complaining and shouting to me why i complain to agency wor....

That Dude was lucky i never complain to JPJ.
Anyways Just wanna share my experience here and faire warning to all 17 years old like me to not try this William Driving Agency.

dell n5010 charger melted lolz need help

Was using my laptop today as usual when suddenly I heard some spark noises coming from.the wall plug. Tried pulling my charger out of the plug but it's jam.

Turns out my.charger plastic part near socket melted. Is it the charger fault or the wall plug.. Could it be that the plug supply too much heat? Cause electrical energy will.convert to heat etcetc and too much melted the charger??

ANy help is really appreciated. Thanks a lot Worst case scenario my charger gone liao and since its an old model laptop hard find replacement might need to put my laptop out of commission lolz

[WTA] Laptop Overheating help

I am planning to get a cooling pad soon but just wanna reconfirm...
Recently my dell inspiron n5010 keeps overheating only when i start gaming and auto shut down.
It happens on my table. So i tested by placing the mesh section (which is the cooling fan location) sticking out on the end of the table and it stops overheating. Is it because the heat released from the vent is unable to ventilate on the table?? So do i get a cooling pad or do i need to send to technical support to dissect open the problem??

If yes, any recommendation on a effective yet reasonable price cooling pad for gaming purposes

I used to have a super small usb cooling under my laptop but dun tink should be call a cooling pad cause it only consist of 4 legs and 2 mini fan cant cover the bottom base of the laptop so i threw it away
