Local Specialty of Colleges

Ronstar — Wed, 13 Dec 2006 18:47:32 +0800

Hi everyone,

I'd like to do a quick and public perception regarding the performance of certain colleges/universities on certain field of studies.

Note that this is just a very general perception and it is in no way a comparison of performance between colleges and universities.

Personally, i'll go and ask the colleges/universities myself, but usually, they would definitely tell you that all their courses provided is top class quality and so on. However, lets all be frank, i don't believe any college/university can provide top grade graduates in all the subjects/faculties being offered.

As a result, I guess this pretty much boils down to public perception by students who attend the class and eventually graduate from the studies, and also employer who hired graduates from these colleges will be able to give a better overview about how capable a college or university is at creating industrial standards graduates.

I myself have long since graduated from my IT studies back then, during my inquest for tertiery education at my age, APIIT was branded as the most prominent IT institution at that time, so I took up my courses there, of course that is few years back and i'm not too sure which college is leading in terms of this field now.

As you can see,I do not have too detailed information on the education scene right now. I sincerely hope that students of all fields and also employers will provide some feedbacks over this topic, so we can all benefit over this.

I would be interested if someone can point out some of the well performed colleges for the following subjects:

- Accounting: ??
- Creative / Graphic Design:
- Mass Communications:
- Journalism / Public Relations:
- Human resources related:
- Management:
- IT:
- Multimedia:

and of course I would not mind other subjects being mentioned.

To start off with some contributions of my own, I have heard that in the sector of :

Creative / Graphic Design : Saito college, Lim Kok Wing and The One Academy, is reputable for such subjects.

Help college was quite good with their business related studies previously but recently, psychology and hotel managements seems to be their fort.

Do any of you have more to add, I'm sure any students / employees would appreciate if we know where to look for something that best suits their requirements... right?

So lets be subjective and have a healthy debate about this here....

If you do, would you mind to share with me about the connectivity using those connections?

I'm looking at things like, latency, disconnection rates and if it gets affect by weather condition.

Thank you very much for sharing.

Hello guys,

How's the v.26 download going? Haha, don't bother logging in, i think the download has taken up too much bandwidth from the game servers, so the game is very laggy now.

In the craze of updating, did anyone miss this announcement?

Yep, finally Asiasoft is doing an event to reward us Malaysian players. Sounds like the first event to be held in Malaysian ground for Maple Story.
