3. Media empire is used to spread doubt to drive the RM down further
4. Tong Kooi Ong closes his trade after the RM has devalued enough for a significant profit
5. USD position of estimated USD1.4 billion is converted to devalued RM for huge profit. Bank is paid back initial loan of now devalued RM. The difference between the initial cost of the RM and the devalued cost of the RM is pure profit.

A woman from Yangzhou, Jiangsu province in China was charged for stabbing her boyfriend 31 times, killing him because he had said another woman's name in his sleep.

It was reported by local news that Hong Hui and her boyfriend were sleeping together one night when her boyfriend had accidentally said someone else's name during his sleep. Upon hearing this, Hong Hui became enraged and she stabbed him 31 times before going back to sleep next to his dead body.

In court, she had appeared remorseful, crying as she told the court about their relationship and the events.

It is understood that the two had met in high school and had dated during university. The two had been planning to marry.

GEORGE TOWN: A McDonald’s outlet at a shopping mall here was partly damaged when Penangites made a mad rush for a plastic toy of a characters which appears in the popular movie Despicable Me 2.

Customers were seen queuing up in front of the outlet even before it opened for business just to purchase the “minions”, which comes free with every purchase of a Happy Meal.

A minion is a small, yellow, cylindrical-shaped, genetically humanised kernel which is one of the most notable characters in Despicable Me 2.

Most outlets here in the state apparently also saw a long queue of people waiting to get their hands on the toy.

Scenes of the mad rush for they collectibles were posted on Facebook and in just few hours, about 800 people had shared or reposted the photos.

Another Facebook posting showed long lines of patrons queing up at an outlet in Kampar, Perak, to get hands on the toys.

ALLIANCE BANK MISLEADING MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT & CHEATING WORKERS

Alliance Bank whose CEO is from Singapore has now started once again an exercise to terminate all clericals and non-clericals through the Voluntary Separation Scheme (VSS). Last year, Alliance Bank attempted to remove all clericals and non-clericals by introducing a fake promotion which is a vicious act of Alliance Bank.

It only shows that the CEO is paranoid of clerical and non-clericals and he is desperate in ensuring the lowest income worker in Alliance Bank is jobless.

The Bank’s letter dated 12th of June 2013 to NUBE was merely to notify us that they wish to announce the VSS to affected staff on 17th June 2013.

NUBE has written a letter dated 14th June 2013 to Alliance Bank requesting for a meeting as they have decided on this VSS without having any negotiation with the Union as the sole negotiating body in respect of the employees in accordance with the MCBA/NUBE Collective Agreement (C.A.).

The Alliance Bank replied in a tone of arrogance to NUBE via letter dated 18th June 2013 among others that it is their management prerogatives and they see no reason to have the said meeting.

We have written to the Bank notifying them they are in breach of the C.A., Industrial Relations Act 1967, Code of Conduct for Industrial Harmony 1975, violations of ILO Conventions 1998, which Malaysia has ratified, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Global Jobs Pact 2009.

We advice all members not to accept the VSS as we have received reports that the Bank is also threatening our members that they will transfer to other branches and departments.

Do not let the Singaporeans take away our job’s and humiliate Malaysian so we advise all members not to opt for the VSS and show solidarity and unity to protect our jobs.

ALLIANCE BANK PERDAYA KERAJAAN DAN TIPU PEKERJA

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) Alliance Bank yang juga warga Singapura sekali lagi menunjukkan kukunya apabila berusaha pula menamatkan kakitangan perkeranian dan bukan perkeranian melalui pelaksanaan Skim Pemberhentian Secara Sukarela (VSS).

Tindakan berniat jahat ini telah pun bermula sejak tahun lepas lagi apabila sebahagian mereka berjaya dikaburi matanya untuk kenaikan pangkat kepada jawatan pegawai.

Secara tidak langsung, ini menunjukkan CEO terlalu paranoid terhadap golongan perkeranian dan bukan perkeranian di bank dan beliau cukup terdesak untuk memastikan pekerja berpendapatan rendah ini tidak dapat lagi bekerja.

Surat daripada pihak bank bertarikh 12 Jun 2013 hanya semata-mata untuk memaklumkan NUBE berhubung pelaksanaan VSS terhadap kakitangan-kakitangannya yang bermula 17 Jun 2013. Keputusan melaksanakan VSS telah dibuat tanpa sebarang rundingan dengan Kesatuan sebagai badan rundingan tunggal berkaitan pekerja sepertimana diperuntukkan dalam Perjanjian Kolektif MCBA/NUBE (C.A.).

NUBE lalu membalas surat tersebut pada 14 Jun 2013 bagi memohon agar mesyuarat bersama kesatuan dapat diadakan.
Alliance Bank kemudiannya menjawab kembali melalui surat bertarikh 18 Jun 2013 dengan nada penuh keangkuhan. Mereka mengatakan bahawa keputusan yang dibuat adalah hak pihak pengurusan bank dan tidak ada sebab untuk mengadakan mesyuarat bersama.

Kami telah menulis kepada Bank bagi mengingatkan bahawa mereka telah memungkiri C.A. dan Tatacara Keharmonian Perusahaan 1975, melanggar Akta Perhubungan Perusahaan 1967 dan Konvensyen ILO 1998 yang turut diiktiraf Malaysia, mencabul Deklarasi Hak Asasi Manusia Sejagat, dan Perjanjian Kerja Global 2009.

Kami menasihati semua ahli agar bersatu untuk tidak menerima tawaran VSS tersebut kerana pihak kami turut menerima laporan berkenaan ugutan terhadap ahli untuk dipindahkan ke cawangan dan jabatan lain. Jangan biarkan warga Singapura ini sewenang-wenangnya merampas kerja kita seterusnya menghina rakyat Malaysia.

Sekali lagi kami menasihatkan, tunjukkan solidariti dan penyatuan untuk menolak VSS demi melindungi pekerjaan dan masa depan kita.

NIBONG TEBAL: Seorang petugas keselamatan Barisan Nasional (BN) cedera parah di kaki akibat letupan dalam timbunan sampah di belakang Bilik Gerakan Pilihan Raya BN di Jawi, di sini, malam tadi.

Kejadian kira-kira jam 10.15 malam itu mengejutkan kira-kira 3,000 orang yang hadir bagi mendengar ceramah yang ketika itu disampaikan Pengerusi Gerakan Pulau Pinang, Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan.

Difahamkan, ketika kejadian, lelaki berusia lingkungan 30-an itu berada berhampiran longgokan sampah berkenaan sebelum ia tiba-tiba meletup menyebabkan kaki kanannya berlubang.

Mangsa kemudiannya dihantar ke Hospital Sungai Bakap oleh petugas BN bagi mendapatkan rawatan lanjut.

Beberapa saksi yang turut berada di tempat kejadian turut tergamam dan tidak sempat berbuat apa-apa berikutan ia berlaku begitu pantas.

Saksi, A Michael, 39, berkata, ketika kejadian, dia mendengar ceramah bersama isterinya, M Jenytuba, 36, berhampiran kereta sebelum longgokan sampah yang berada di hadapan mereka meletup.

"Letupan itu sangat kuat. Saya tidak nampak sesiapa mencurigakan sebelum itu, hanya ada beberapa orang kanak-kanak bermain berhampiran longgokan sampah itu.

"Kejadian itu mengejutkan saya, malah isteri turut trauma," katanya.

Dalam pada itu, Ketua Polis Daerah Seberang Prai Selatan (SPS) Superintendan Shafien Mamat, bergegas ke lokasi kejadian bersama anggotanya bagi menjalankan siasatan.

Bagaimanapun, beliau enggan memberikan maklumat lanjut berikutan kejadian masih dalam siasatan.

Sementara itu, Pengerusi UMNO Pulau Pinang Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman, yang turut berada di tempat kejadian mengutuk kejadian itu dan meminta polis menyiasat pihak yang bertanggungjawab.
