Audit Firm VS Oil and Gas

Hi, I am a fresh grad in acc and finance and just graduated. Being offered with audit big 4 and an oil and gas as a junior exec.

I am seeking advice from all the sifus from accounting and finance background that have years of experience. What do you guys think is it possible to be successful and able to climb up the ladder if someone opt to directly join oil and gas sector instead of gaining experience first joining the big 4 firm? What if someone is not intended to be an auditor and just want to stay in the big 4 just for 3-4 years and gaining experience. I believe it is hard to jump industry once u joined the oil and gas industry for accountant. Do you guys have any relevant experience from family, friends or colleagues? I am in dire need of opinions here.
