I've recently listed my house - double story landed, about 7 years old, for sale. Occasionally I still go back to grab items that I am trying to sell off. Everytime I leave the house I will instinctively wash my feet outside at the car porch. Today I looked at my feet, and to my horror it is very dirty as if I walked on the streets. So I figured out the agent must have let people in without removing their shoes. I texted her to get future viewers to remove their shoes and she apologized.

And tomorrow, on my off day, I will have to go back and mop both levels - at least two rounds. Why are people so rude to just enter a house that is obviously clean? It's feels so uncivilized and rude.

I am recovering from a back injury that I sustained when I was moving out. So I am sure mopping the floor will set my recovery back again.

Do you guys enter a property without removing your shoes? Personally, I follow what the agent does - if they remove, I remove, if not, I dont either.

Opening a bank account in Australia

I've done some research and cannot find solution to this. My son will be going to Australia for his studies in a couple of years hence I am looking to stock up AUD now. Is there any way to open a bank account in Australia so I can take advantage of the fx rate and save AUD in a bank account in Australia via Wise / Bigpay / Instarem?

Some banks allow to open only 3 months before admission, and a couple of banks allow you to open only one year before admission.

Saw some stray puppies today at a MRT station currently under construction while jogging, one of the workers told me some of the puppies were captured by dbkl already and asked me to adopt the rest of the litters.

According to the worker, the puppies are taken to feed zoo animals lkke tigers and snakes. I am really shocked since its the first time i hear of such cruelty, and i googled and found only one link:

Now i cannot sleep, anyone knows if this is true?

Been thinking how to solve stray dog issues.. why singapore australia do not have such problems. Maybe setting up a "home" for abandoned dogs / stray dogs, get them neutered / spayed, but then again who would want to take care of animals when human are not taken care of?

Income Declaration by MOE

i received a notice from my son's school that the MOE wants to update student's particulars and wants the parents's salary information with a copy of the salary slip. If we are not able to provide salary statement, we will need to declare our income and have the declaration witnessed by a government official.

Why dont the MOE let us update this sensitive information online instead of passing a hardcopy salary slip to the teacher?

Anyone else received this notice from their children? Is it possible not to disclose?

i have been staying in condo ever since a break-in in 2010 in landed house (it was a horrifying experience for me)

i am now worried about break-ins in my future house, i plan to use the best security doors, but i dont like grills.

i googled for alternative solutions and found there is a kind of electrical fence whereby the intruder will be shocked when in contacy, but non-lethal. however i m worried that my child and neighbour will accidentally kena shocked.

what do u guys think? any other alternatives to prevent break-ins?

Problem details

Problem description: Laptop is able to connect to the modem and browse internet, but cannot connect to company's VPN.

Steps taken to resolve this issue:

Company IT: Called many times, they tested my VPN and claim that it's working

ISP: Claim to be company's problem as they only manage APN not VPN

Retailer: Called up All IT Hypermarket and they claimed it's company's problem, they can't do anything

TP-Link: Called local support hotline, they advise to call international support hotline. Called international hotline a few times today, no one picked up. Sent email to suppport team, so far no reply.

I can connect to VPN using public wifi like starbucks and mcD.

I suspect it should be the modem's setting.
