To all tech gurus here... I summons for your guidance and grant me the wisdom to help me to make the right decision in procuring a GPU.

Basically I have 2 GPU shortlisted to purchase..Asus Strix RX480 8GB and Asus Strix GTX1060 6GB, both are factory OCed.

More inclined to get AMD because of flexibility for crossfire.. Nvidia locked the ability of GTX1060 to SLI and that a real suck balls.

Purpose of is purely gaming at 1080p with latest titles in market I. e battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2.

Went to Melaka, notice the slogan in Jonker ...

Smell of Petrol inside my car

Have you have any experience when you starting your car and switch the air-cond suddenly smell of petrol come out from the vent ?

My car giving me this problem for past months and the smell of petrol will go away after 30 mins of drive.

What I did was I run the pipe water to the engine when its happen and the smell will go away almost immediately..

Can someone give any suggestion what to fix ? my last visit to Toyota Service Center didnt be able to diagnose the problem

Help needed to fix my problem with office computer.

Issue: mailbox crashed and resulted to my Archive folder is inaccessible, prompt a box that says...

" Cant expand the folder. The set of folders cant be opened. Errors have been detected in the file C:\Docs & Setting\username\localsettings\application data\microsoft\outlook\archive.pst. Quit outlook and all mail-enalbed applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information about the Inbox repair tool, see help"

The IT support tried to do recovery using Scanpst.exe but only managed to recover 5 emails out of 20K

Any Guru here can offer remedy to this ?

What's your thought on mSata vs SSD?

Fellow Forumers... I am considering to get SSD but at the same time also seen some of the new MOBO with Z97 offering the function of mSata and starts to wonder if mSata offer better speed compare to SSD.

The question is, is it worth it to get mSata over SSD ? And how mSata compare to M.2 NGFF SSD ?

Was thinking about MSI Z87-G65 Gaming, my criterion is as long as the PCI-E for GPU has ample room to breath between the 2 GPUs.

I need some advice from experts here on how to reduce the temperature on GPU ?

my setup is R9 270X crossfire, the 1st GPU the one near to CPU is hotter than the below one i guess it is because the gap between two GPUs is too small to draw air to the GPU's heat sink.

It's only happens when gaming, under normal circumstances the temperature is about 39 C to 40 C, but when under load (gaming) the temperature goes minimum 80 C and it kinda scare me because the temperature keep increasing but very marginally.

I do have a 120mm fan blowing from side panel, bottom of the case and front case...

Any advice can offer to me on how to reduce the temperature ? Installing air con isn't an option.

Fellow sifus here, I summon upon your wisdom to help me in my quest to conquer the obstacles with my dang router...

Let me sum up the problem.

1. laptop and windows tablet connect to wifi and work as good as rain.

2. three android devices connected to wifi but can't access internet but has no problem accessing internet on other router.

3. Search all over the internet, able to find many ppl facing the same issue and offer some fixes but I tried their methods none bear any fruit at all.

I am using unifi with standard router from TM - Dlink DIR615 with stock F/W:7.12, H/W:G2. Basically I tried almost all fixes recommended i.e.

1. change wireless channels (1 to 11 all tried)
2. change bandwidth from auto (20/40) to 20 Mhz
3. factory reset and re-do all basic configuration with mostly are on default mode.
4. no clash on IP nor MAC, tried dynamic IP and static IP setting still no solution.

Done almost all but the status on UDP will remain zero on my android devices but works well on my laptop and windows rt tablet.

Any sifu here can recommend better solution ? (Other than buying a new one of coz...)

Suggest me a budget PC spec.

Fellas, need your help to provide me feedbacks to build a PC, my god damn PC fried yesterday after more than 5 years of tormenting journey with me

Budget: RM1K to RM1.5K.. the lower the better without sacrifying the quality.

Purpose: No need to run high-end setting to play latest games and able to run smoothly on latest MS office apps.

Hardware that will be reuse from old rig: 1 TB HD, external DVD ROM, keyboard, mouse, monitor, speaker, network card.

Monitor resolution: no preference but if can run 1080p lagi bagus la..

Game or software that use frequently: able to run latest games at medium or low setting

Personal Preference Brand: No specific preference.. as long as it works and last long (min 3 years)

I have an issue in hiring non-resident in Sarawak & Sabah, meaning to say I hired Sabahan to work in Sarawak and vice versa.. tried my best to check through Labour Office in Sarawak but doesn't bring me anywhere.

Question is how do i about about it ? I realized this only after I hired a Sabahan to work in Sarawak, I do have few Sarawakian work in Sabah.

MayBank Housing Loan - DSR not met ?

Is there anyone here knows in depth of what's MayBank HL DSR criteria ?

I applied HL from MayBank recently and apparently got rejected due to failed in DSR criteria, was thinking to call them to understand deeper but well, the sales persons seems too damn busy to entertain me...

the sales person says that my CC utilization is high even is was only approved only last year... biggest chunk of it is actually from BT and am always been very prompt in all my loan payment, thank god nvr been once.

For your info, currently I already have an HL with maybank (advance payment sumore) and wanted to apply to top up my loan for few reasons, i.e. for house reno and pay-off some CC debts. Can someone offer me an advice how to adjust my DSR ?

Boot Manager Missing !

Hope someone could help me out here...

Almost everytime when I do housekeeping to clean the dust in my desktop (unplug all devices i.e. HDD, GPU, HSF, PSU) and when I assemble all back I always get my "BOOTMGR" missing when starting my PC.

Most of the time I end up with re-installing OS just to recover the boot file back to system after tried many times to recover of boot file using default method via windows installing guide.

Take note that, I did check on BIOS to make sure 1st boot drive is my OS drive.

Anyone face this b4 ? Any solution to avoid this again ?
