[WTShare] BlackBerry OS7 Battery Life

In OS 6, battery life for BB is longest amongst Smart Phone. However, the story is not the same for OS7 as in OS6. When OS7 and Bold 9900 was first introduced, most of the users were complaining about the battery life.

Purpose of this thread is to guide/ give an idea to those who buy Bold Series based on Battery Life, like i do.

Previously own 9700>9780>9790>9900 (a happy user of 9900)

Hi all, as we know, the latest OS for 9900 isOS 7.1.0.569 Built 1716.But unfortunately, this version of OS does not included ALL Languages. For those who need to display Chinese Font and Input, here is the guide.

What should you have in hand:
1. A PC which running the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Software.
2. A little of flash knowledge.
3. Last but not least, a Bold 9900 running any version of OS.

What you need to do next:
1. Go to Blackberry Support to download the DEVICE'S software (OS 7.1.0.569-Multilanguages)
2. At the same site, download the DEVICE's software (OS 7.1.0.523- All Languages, available under Maxis's support)
3. After you have done all above, install both OS.
4. Next, navigate to C:>Program Files (x86 if u are using 64bit window)>Common File>Research in Motion>Application Loader> delete the vendor.xml.
5. Next, navigate to C:>Program Files (x86 if u are using 64bit window)>Common File>Research in Motion>Shared application, you will see the 2 folder(OS installed), COPY all the contents in the .569 folder into .532 folder COPY AND REPLACE ALL.

Then, you have done all the requirement, what you need to do now is plug in your device and run the Application Loader (the updater), choose all the necessary apps you want.

WAIT....WAIT.....WAIT....

Once rebooted, your phone will be able to show CHINESE FONT.
