UPS noise

Actually i only need an AVR, but i have a few of them overheated and burnt, not the components, but the plastic casing. I run my PC 24/7, half of the time without any sort of ventilation, the other half with aircon (when i'm home). After some searching, i figure there isn't AVR with active cooling, so i think i'll need an UPS, which always comes with active cooling.

But as i said, i run the PC 24/7 in my room, i spent quite some money to silence the PC, my aircon which is supposed to be super quiet is noisier than my PC. So i need to know how noisy can a UPS be? I know the decibel rating in their spec sheets, but that hardly mean a thing because how noisy is kinda relative...

Anyone mind to shed some light, or better yet, recommendation for a quiet UPS? Oh and i need 1000-1200va UPS.

Thanks in advanced.

Folder Select Lag?

The system spec is as in my signature, rig #1.
Hdd are SG 20gig, WD 80gig (8mb, system drive), WD 200gig (8mb) and WD 250gig (16mb, ncq on).
Drivers used are nWare 06-07 and Forceware 91.33.

Whenever i select a folder with a lot of folders and of course a lot of files within it, the hdd will run like crazy for a while and the system will lag a while depends on the folder size (i have a big folder with 30+ folders and over 5k files inside, it takes about 5sec).

Right after i click on the folder (not highlighted yet), it will lag then only it will be highlighted.

Disable anivirus doesnt have any effect, but when in safe mode, there is no problem. So it must be software or driver problem. I don't remember when does this start, but im sure it didn't exist some times ago. So i couldn't guess what causes this lagging...

If anyone has any idea, i would be most appreciate it
Any easy way to troubleshoot this? I don't want to uninstall and reinstall driver if it is possible...

EDIT: I created another user and found that the problem isn't there too... that is with exactly the same set of driver and almost same backgound processes...
what could be the damn problem???

EDIT2: I compared the processes and services of both users and shut down the extra processes and services one by one, so in the end i found out that this service - Windows Image Acquisition (WIA), was casuing the problem.

EDIT3: Ok... i was wrong... after a reboot, this problems haunts again ... tried some manual and auto optimization (tuneup), no luck... the newly created user clearly doesn't have this damn problem, everything is instant...

Any help here?
