Ford Fiesta Lx 1.4 Manual

I'm currently driving a Ford Fiesta hatchback, 1.4cc manual. just got a 2 questions that I still can't settle down.
(been trying to find Ford Fiesta thread but didn't seems to found it....)

1. No temperature meter. so do i have to install one?

2. Is it necessary to spray the anti rust on the undercarriage?
